Re: Enata?

There's 2 kites on there, the "really really racy" kite and then the "still pretty racy but maybe not as much so"

Kinda looks like the same segmentation as the Sonic2 and Sonic Race...

Re: Enata?

It is the normal IKA joke. Yeah, that's probably right. IKA leadership would rather run races that include the top 20 riders instead of tell them all to go home with their proto gear. I mean imagine if everyone on Enata and ML gear got turned away at registration for the event in Weifang, it'd be a...

Re: Enata?

Are Enata hydrofoils and kites going to be available soon? What's the point of sponsoring multiple top riders for over a year, but not making the product available? It seems that the main point of the IKA rules is to allow everyone to be on widely available production equipment. They don't even hav...

Re: jibing stability

I agree with Dave, the single biggest variable for me is whether the foil wants to launch out of the water with pitch instability or if it'll just kinda toodle along while you switch your feet. Delta has this figured out at the expense of a foil that someone riding waves would call "too stable." For...

Re: Shim Liquid Force foil

My advice is to make shims from a plastic HDPE milk jug and play with it. If you don't like a setting, move it or remove it. Only you will know what feels right because your weight, skill, kite, water salinity, etc. all affect hydrofoil performance.

Re: light wind trim?

It's also possible to sheet the kite in so that it's stalled in the wind window, then ease the bar out and the kite will pop forward to the edge of the window and pull you out of the water. Yeah, I've watched people do this, and understand the concept, but have never pulled it off myself. Does the ...
