Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Oyvind, Does Ketos sell this "fuselage online? Does Moses have something similar? Unfortunately I haven't seen any brand making the first step to offer a serial 0-fuselage and as market is till now still small up to not existing, it's easy to understand. On the other Hand, according to construction...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Stabless is highly addictive :) Love it ! Dont think I will be going back. Happy Birthday! and very very nice again, biggest respect. :thumb: What I said, prices for stabis are going to fall, when people start to eat from the monofruit :D I think after my excursion to "boosting" I got to also try o...

Re: Half a Zeeko windfoil = Spitfire monofoil

And I made this setup from scratch 3 hours ago. From ready to use parts of new Zeeko windfoil. Great job :thumb: And interesting to see it is possible to have the strut so much forward nearly above the wing, but I would expect behaviour to be better with more yaw damping, or what was your feeling i...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Checking the videos I got to say this time "boosting"maybe have been too big words, as I think still under 10 m, but lets say, with just one wing the mono deserves a cripple bonus :D Some eye candy, before I got the time to cut a video: Monofoil "boosting" with an 11 m² in about 11 knts kitejunkie m...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Should moove back my rear foot rather? Your nice nemo board looks a bit as if front foot stands on a lower or at least not higher level as backfoot, this can cause you problems at higher speeds, check my posts at page 10. You may use shims to avoid to have a to much angled back leg at higher speeds...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Thank's for testing and all the shared Information :thumb: - all above foils were not designed for monofoilig - there is more room for comfort for sure, especially to widen comfort speed bandwidth. My words, this is the main reason why I started this topic: Let's try to collect Information about the...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

I would say basicly a canard,
but with massive extra drag and lower stability, so in sum similar to all the twin tip foils we have seen the last years and I fear it will have the same "success" :-?

Oh and I think a shorter chickenloop would be helpful for his back

Re: How high are you pointing upwind? Are 30° already possible?

Interesting, what about downwind? Are you able to hold some speed? Pretty poor, but enough to not be outdistanced by normal good freeride foiler to much. Top speeds are 38 km/h and 35 km/h on low and high AR wings and around 32 km/h mean for 1 km, but If going downwind for some km I spend the time ...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

@Oyvind: :thumb: greatest respect, very nice to see you riding strabless stabless, which is extremly difficult. Did you realy even do a strabless stabless jibe. That's a First, not Philippe and not me have been able to show this. :thumb: :thumb: As Frank said there is nothing to do about that the bo...

Re: How high are you pointing upwind? Are 30° already possible?

I think I answered the topic question :D Kitejunkie-Aspect-AR7-mono-&-sonic-race-11.jpg The last 4 tacks on the right (higher wind section) had an mean upwind angle of 31° done in about 15 knts with a Flysurfer Sonic Race 11 m² on 16 m lines and this high AR Monofoil: http://kiteforum.com/viewto...
