Re: Kite line sleeving - what to buy?

I am looking to trim and re-sleeve my North lines as the current sleeves are wearing out and the end of the lines are probably getting weak. What should I be looking for as a sleeving material? Would something like this 3mm dyneema do the job (with the core stripped out)? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/...

Re: Kite lines

The front and back lines are equal in length correct, in all cases? Any pigtails i add i must add to all four lines, so lengths are equal? I assume the main thing is to just be able to go loop to knot or vice versa, so bar lines connect to kite. so in my case i will take the four pigtails i had in ...

Re: Kite lines

paulwoller what do you mean when you say swap the pigtails? The Element and Nitro use a long length of rope/line on the outside line with two knots, and the inside lines attach with a larkin loop on the bridle. Are you referring to my spare pigtails? Use the spare pigtails you have and buy some lin...

Re: Kite lines

Yes, I heard it was better to change pigtails on kite rather than bar. I have these very short pigtails from slingshot, like two inches long. I did notice on the OR bar, the two outside lines have like a pigtail added maybe 5" long, but the inside lines are regular lines, why did they do it like th...

Re: Kite lines

So just to confirm, I would take my spare (4) piq tails and add to all four lines. Also what does the term "Y" mean, I basically get it, but can other bars be different than "Y". Thanks for the help guys. Change the pig tails on your kites ( not the lines) so you can use the OR bar on all your kite...
