Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Yup. Good points. Rode it again today. Seems like you sacrifice the comfy stable ride for the phenomenal downwind turning....which seems to be its signature. Yes and it keeps on growing on you. Although after ventilating the wings on my Std wing Spitfire during a toeside carve on weekend maybe I ha...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Stick to it and try to avoid going back and forward with other setups. The light bulb moment will come.

Re: Alu mast (strut) with 3 bolts - standard?

Load on mast to mount at board is highest load so if you have 3 positions to put a bolt then why not?

As Musashi wrote; it is a waste for a Samurai to die with a sword still in its scabbard.

Re: beginner foil

Hey all, Tanks for the input... This weekend I tested the IC6 north on a 90 cm mast, and the north speedster on the 60 cm mast... kite was 9m² in 13-17 knots. I never foiled before, but I have some years of strapless kiting on skim and waveboard. First test was the IC6... i had a fight for 1.5h and...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Once you have loosened those bolts and they would have to have got loose to bend, then you will have to check the surfaces for flatness and proper mating. Considering the horrible number and type of landings plus full speed sandbar speed humps I’ve put mine through. And it’s still perfect. I’d say t...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

I only use the Std wings and at first I used front strap in central position and back foot in front of back strap as I had done with my Black&White. This was just plane unco and porpoise city so back foot went into back strap which is just behind mast. It took a little time but had better control. A...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Had another day on my Spitfire. Standard wings, 20mph winds or there about. 195lbs and flying a 8.5 kahoona. All in all some progression. Most of the time board in the water with a lot of slapping. Was able to get foiling above the chop on occasion. When I did always encountered the board/foil porp...
