Lol. Yesz
My view is that RRD are following the same trend as North with the Rebel. From my perspective a sensible move, but perhaps not from yours.

Re: RRD ditches obsession / obsession pro - now just one kite

Good or bad depends on ones viewpoint.

Why? As said above, it is a continuation of the market driven transition to 4 line bridled kites.

Everything is market driven. What are you trying to say?
It's a continuation of the market driven transition to 4 line bridled kites.

(And no, not "everything" is market driven.)

Getting the angle right is the big deal.
+1

Also a little sand on the tip of the non-launch side of the kite helps to prevent drift. As said above, slack lines increase the chance of drift from the ideal launch angle.

@1rdee

Just a comment that the 5m Rally does not have the large inflation valve that the 6m upwards have.

6m, 9m Rally + 13m Turbine sounds just right for a 3 kite quiver for what you want to do.

But if you want to ride in 12-14 knots you can use a 12m (albeit underpowered).
I'm 81kg and ride a 12m SS Rally in 14 knots no probs on a rockered 135x42 (Shinn Monk) so I think someone weighing 60kg on a flatter TT would be very well powered up indeed!

Re: North Zippers

Nor have any of my Slingshot bags ever broken a zipper. And thinking about, neither have any of my Cabrinha or Airush bags in the past.
