Re: Ozone Zephyr V5 vs Switch Helium 3

I have a Helium 2 15.5 that I use for foiling. It's a very good kite. Everything from Switch is very good. I'm not sure it's worth going into a long review when there is one truly insurmountable difference between the Zephyr and the Helium. The Zephyr is more than double the price of the Helium. Ev...

I have flown the v4 not the v5 . Not sure how different the two models are.
If you would still like me to break it down for you .
Please contact me at felix@switchkites.com
Regards
Felix.
Appreciate the offer, but I know the V5 is a 're-design' so that's what to compare with. Thanks.

Rig something up to spin the water out of the board.
This ^^^ (a centrifuge) works far better than gravity.

Ozone Zephyr V5 vs Switch Helium 3

Ideally Zephyr (17m) vs Helium 3 16m.

Has anyone flown both these kites and if so how did they compare?

- On TT, SB, or Foil
- Bar width and line lengths
- Bar pressure
- Low end
- Top end
- Gusts
- Position in window
- Ease of relaunch
- Quality of construction
- Weight
- Any quirks
- etc ...

Re: Crash vests, what do people use?

Thanks for everyone’s input. Still looking for someone who’s tried the RE vest though. To iriejohn: a post to search doesn’t help the topic especially since it’s about safety. That and the search eng on here isn’t that great and your then stuck digging through a pile to find the needle. Digging thr...

ps would love to hear a more in depth explanation about spectra vs dyneema matteo but of course that's for another topic. If you feel like starting one up I would definitely read it.

For our purposes, the two names Dyneema and Spectra, are the same for how we are concerned.

Re: naish pivot vr ozone enduro

I've never used a Pivot or Enduro V1 so can't compare, but my Enduro V2's (6/8/10/12) have a huge wind range and they also completely depower when required (I could easily use 6/9/12). Great allround kites for both freeride and waves on a TT and a SB.

Re: Hard Wearing Low Stretch Lines

And thanks for correcting me on Dyneema vs Spectra. I hope I did not confuse anyone, though they are essentially the same material for our (kiters) consideration. Similar, but (iirc) the key differences of interest to kiters have been covered in other threads. Yes, you do recall correctly. But the ...
