Re: Where in The Americas is It warm and windy in june

the Southern Caribbean is pretty good in June.. (Grenadines and further South). Grenadines has 90% wind probability with moderate speeds (15-18kts). Pretty warm water too.. :)

Re: weirdest question ever

gotta pay dem bills ! But yes things get in the way of surf trips - probably at east 2 times per week - but then again - the guy that surfs every day probably either has no girlfriend - OR has many different ones - and I am way too ugly for the latter! haha. though dreams are supposed to be all met...

Re: weirdest question ever

Re: Trainer said no more lessons, just buy

I'm currently so frustrated , I used to be the kind of person that coil pick sports up so quickly and this is not coming quickly at all wow, does that sound familiar.. Can only agree with all advice given above, particularly about going out with (new) friends in the beginning and going on a kite ho...

Re: Do 2012 Slingshot Rally's Have a Cult Following?

I happen to own a 9m 2012 rally. I love it but am not aware of being part of a cult. And I can't really compare it to 9ms of other years. I would definitely say it's fast and responsive and stable. Can say though that I recently was out on a 12m 2013 rally. Which was basically like hauling around a ...

Re: IKA speaks up about competitions and VKWC

Nice to hear something straight from the horse's mouth. Here are some points he made: - he doesn't mind a world tour next to a world championship, as long as they don't crown a 'world champion', as that is the right of IKA/World Sailing (former ISAF). Having more competitions would be good but clari...

Re: Kitesurf Direct sales aren't traditional brands greatest threat ? (switch, takoon, gong...)

Well.. if people start talking about what they "feel" is the right price for a kite, and "feel" they are being ripped off by small business owners (ever wonder why, then, they are SMALL business owners?), you can guess the economics that follow are, let's say, not too solid. When prices go down, gen...

Re: Helmets

Cycling helmet?

Super light, and seems there can't be any bucket effect. Might do too little to break the impact of water (?) but would help against your foil. Has anyone tried this?

Re: Research on "High Hook" seat harnesses

The single disadvantage I've found is the low hook placement makes it more difficult to body drag because the pull is nearer your center of gravity. I've seen a comment like this before, so to just put in with a little anatomy lesson: If you are a guy, you're center of mass/gravity is about an inch...
