Re: 2018 North Rebel vs 2017 North Evo Review

Maybe they felt compelled to go to three struts to better differentiate between Evo and Rebel.

Re: 2018 North Rebel vs 2017 North Evo Review

Not sure about that magenta/pink color featured through out North's 2018 lineup.
Seriously though, they tout going to three struts and say the design "banishes instability" around the wingtips. Why make any five strut kites then?

Re: Hard shell harnesses comparison

Agree about 2017 RE, you need to refit every time it's put on. If you get sloppy with tightening it will ride up to your engine. The back also scratches easily. It's also a bit of a pain to loosen and take off. When tightened and adjusted properly an excellent harness. Also you can buy a custom viny...

Just did a bit of google-fu on that trimmer bracket and it looks like a great solution. Might even upgrade my setup.
rynhardt, have you added the Ozone trimmer bracket to your setup?

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

I wonder why they didn't continue with Bill, was it a philosophical design difference issue or purely a cost savings move? They need to release something soon that's good, I'm not alone in wondering what's going on.

Re: Ride Engine 2018 Harnesses

The 2018 is much easier to get tight. It’s also easier to tighten once out riding. I think they moved the buckles farther behind on the harness, making it fit smaller than the 2016 model I replaced. Another bonus of the new strap system...dakine spreader bars now work perfectly on it. I prefer a da...
