Re: Peter Lynn introduce the Aero V2

Are these kites developed by Peter Lynn himself?

Re: Crash vests, what do people use?

My o'neill vest (see picture above) might not give me a lot of flotation, but it still helps. It's impact protection is fine. So no, they don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Just think of impact vests as impact vests...who give you some flotation: it's a bonus.

Re: Crash vests, what do people use?

I've got an older O'Neill impact vest. Works fine with any harness, I'd say. I'm currently using a ride engine, perfect match.

Drawbacks? None. Doesn't have a lot of flotation, but that's expected...it's an impact vest.Image

Re: Improve Kite Drifting Technique

I have started to build in some downloops when dong this "switch stance front side windswell riding" but the boost is so hard that I always have to abandon my wave. Any thoughts? I'd say either your timing is off (initiate the turn first, then follow up with the downloop), or you have a kite that si...

Re: RRD Religion 2013/2014

Rrd's website has an archive....you'll find it easily. Maybe not the number, but based on the colour you can identify which year it is. Just browse to the Religion, then find the previous years on the bottom of the page.

Re: Hard Wearing Low Stretch Lines

Well, I have only used them for approximately 50 to 60 sessions, but I'm really impressed with my RRD 'stiff or rigid lines', or whatever they call them. They look as new, no fibers sticking out, still as rigid and white as they were when new. They are expensive, though. Couldn't tell you about stre...

Re: biggest regret purchase

Surfinsmiley reminded me of my Shinn Capri GT...must have banished it from my thoughts, tho it still lives in my shed. My Shinn Capri GT....bought it for windy, messed up surf, turns ou to be only usable in perfect glassy water and light winds. What was I thinking?

Re: biggest regret purchase

My last 12 meter...and I knew it when I bought it.

Simply too large and slow in the surf.

I know I'll give it another shot in some time...and regret it again.
