Re: DIY E-Foil

Hi Billie,
I did this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQfHr5UsS9g&t=377s

but in my opinion MHZ products are unreliable and very expensive (I had a lot of problems with them).

Re: Hydrofoil boxwing 3

Board, foil, and helmet are all so damn clean. Thanks, I tried to do my best to reach a clean shiny surface. Can I see your mold for helmet? Looks like a female mold In this case I simply covered with 3 layers of carbon fiber the foam of a standard helmet (I removed the plastic shell). The helmet i...

Re: Hydrofoil boxwing 3

Is that a custom helmet too? Of course :D 5.JPG 3.JPG 2.JPG The "box" HF is around for decades Yes, of course. The concept is around 1hundred years old, and there are many different applications. I doubt you can eliminate tip vortices as they are fundamental to producing lift May be is better that ...

Re: Hydrofoil boxwing 3

During the study on the basics of aerodynamics, I discovered the boxwing or infinite wing configuration and I focused my activity on that. The aim of this particular configuration is the elimination of the tip vortex that you can find at the end of every wing profile. At this point high and low pres...

Re: Efoil convertibile in Esurf

1- At startup, is the board self priming ? Is the electric engine OK to vacuum all this water along the mast to build speed up ? Yes, there are no problems. When you start the jet is submerged. 2- What's the max speed you've reached so far in jetsurf AND in jetfoil version ? It's difficult give you...

Efoil convertibile in Esurf

Hi everyone, I would like to show you my interpretation of the concept of E foil. I build an electric jetsurf that is convertible to an Efoil simply unscrewing 4 screw. For the wings profile I choose a box wing because I'm loving it. :D This is the results: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQfHr5UsS9g

Re: How to build a bar? Just the rod/pole item ~60cm. Anyone done it?

Any ideas or pointers how to do it, please? Two years ago I've done this one. 70 cm wide for a 18 mt foil kite. carbon fiber wrapped on an alluminium core (tube) in order to obtain elittiptical profile. Full carbon folded on the corner. https://i58.servimg.com/u/f58/13/17/52/45/b210.jpg https://i58...

Re: Balsa or honeycomb?

Are you using spot bond? I don't remember was something from 3M As I see it the only viable option to work with Nomex is a prepreg carbon with a vac. Would be a bitc. to even wet it properly, and bonding two sheets is a no mean feat. What you said it's true, a lot of trouble without a great gain. F...
