Re: "Spin-out" with SabFoil Medusa Pro 869?

And what is the relative thickness?

Thickness/Chord is key as the absolute thickness is not important.

Re: "Spin-out" with SabFoil Medusa Pro 869?

Snip... @Peter, you can't compare the 869 to another wing with same size/dimensions and a different shape/camber etc. When I tested the 869 first time I was genuinely surprised that it had more lift than my North MA1200. Top speed I couldn't test unfortunately. I almost agree with you... But have f...

Re: Anyone using wingcams?

Thanks - so it IS really light. The whole idea with a wingcam is to use 360 cams so I dont see this as a problem? For a tip mount you can take pictures/video of your friends around you also, thats great :thumb: The centerstrut or boom mount is supereasy yes, but I dont like this angle. I also have m...

Re: What size kit recommendations for 14 year old beginner

Are you going to wing also, or?

She should go with something around 1000 to 1200 cm2 and a 65 to 80 litre board.

Snip... ...and it has a couple of degrees of nose up engineered into the setup which compensates for a lack of scoop (scoop being rocker pushed to the nose) Snip... Yes, it compensates for the lack of scoop, but it is a solution which is needed and not good. As you will have your forward foot lifte...

Re: Anyone using wingcams?

Skymount weighs around 380-410 grams - difficult to weigh as I have mounted an extension so I tried to weigh the components of this and subtract. Not very light, so curious about the Flymount. Skymount fits 140-150 mm (and more) diameter tubes without using double inserts, so it apparently sits a bi...

Re: Duotone Life Hacks - Baseplate Shim

When watching other wingfoilers it is easy to see if board has a nose down or nose up trim. If in doubt have someone take a short video from shore of yourself. A wrong board angle is evident now. Only exception is beginners, where you often see them ride with a dramatic nose up. Because they use big...

Re: Anyone using wingcams?

I use the flymount occasionally but I’m always a little sketched out that it will fall off. It’s a good angle though. More often I use a Velcro mount that I wrap around my strut (there is a small hole between the canopy and strut). The other benefit is that I can reach back to the camera to start a...
