Re: Could someone please invent a better way to self land a kite in high wind.

Going to bring this one back because I've been dealing with this since I bought a new kite last year and it kinda burns me up cause they solved this issue a long time ago and then all but one of the kite bar makers got rid of it - they were called Oh Shit Handles. I flew the old waroos until I wore ...

Re: Time for Some New Equipment - Looking for Some Input

Swapped the 17 for the 20 inch 2017 bar with 3m extensions. Maybe its cause I'm still getting used to the delta design but the low end grunt on this 9m rally was a little disappointing today. I'm 180 lbs and could usually chug out an ok session on the 9 waroo in 15 to 16 knots. This thing was feelin...

Re: Time for Some New Equipment - Looking for Some Input

Tried the 2016 rally today. Does fly a little different than the waroo but I got used to it. Way less bar pressure in 20 plus. Self launch using the fold the wing tip and sand method was a little less stable than with waroo, ended up with a hot launch a couple of times. Self land with osh is fine. I...

Re: Time for Some New Equipment - Looking for Some Input

Actually nothing. Above bar, below bar, doesn't matter. Not sure why I wrote it out that way other than that is what I prefer. Probably going with the Rally as I've found reviews to counter the one above. But still looking at Envy, and Evo from North looks like a possible too. Waroo should hang in t...

Re: Time for Some New Equipment - Looking for Some Input

Thanks guys. I think I have it down to the Envy or the Rally. I still like the idea of OSR as I just don't want to be limited to line finesse or releasing the safety for self landing but if I could just see a video of someone doing a no bullshit self land of an Envy with the above the bar trim that ...

Time for Some New Equipment - Looking for Some Input

After taking a year off for ortho surgery I have been back and having some fun with my 2009 9m Waroo but I know that this really is my last season with it and am ready to purchase a new kite. Those late decade Waroo models were a really good fit and when they switched to a delta shape in 2010 I trie...
