Re: kite for 37 kg girl

A 45kg friend learned on a 8m Rally and was really happy. It stays in the air at 5.5 m/s, relaunches are golden, power is smooth.
RPM is great but it's not a beginner/learning kite.

Teach on a door board and she'll be riding in a week time.

Had mine a few weeks and 4 sessions on it. Very happy with purchase so far.
How do you like your 42" Dwarfcraft? How does it ride compared to lager board? Any regrets about it or anything exciting?

to South Padre, TX in March (looking for a room)

Hey folks,
the winter has been too long, I would like to get a break between March 16-25 and looking for a kiting group who'd go to South Padre, TX or someone who'd just have an extra room in the house.
The dates are somewhat flexible within that timeframe, please let me know.

Re: choice - (MHL) Lift NF2 vs. (LP) Silencer NF2 vs. Ghost Whisper

Grigory.....I'm hoping to have a Ghost in OBX for our trip and you can try it then. I rode the Silencer last year quite a bit and it just wasn't balanced properly no matter what I did with shims and kept going back to the Hoverglide anyway. The Hoverglide was just as fast and having multiple masts ...

Re: so i tried kitesurfing, seems dangerous.

The part that really bugged me was being tethered into the kite on land, its just got too much power, too easy for something stupid to go wrong and then you and everyone on the beach is in trouble. Better than being tethered to a HG 100ft in the air and everyone beneath you is potentially in troubl...

choice - (MHL) Lift NF2 vs. (LP) Silencer NF2 vs. Ghost Whisper

Thinking of a new foil and choosing between these three from Slingshot selection: (MHL) Lift NF2, (LP) Silencer NF2, Ghost Whisper. I'm not into racing, just freeride and lightwind riding. Haven't had a chance to demo either and can't speak of lowend/dynamics of them of those and looking for comment...

Re: New kitesurfer - need help buying my first kite

Few notes to add to above comments: - look for a kite with significant delta shape on the LE for easier relaunch. My preference and suggestion would be the Rally, but there are other too. - thumbs up for regular kite plus large board, BUT when I say large I mean the lightwind door board. Something o...
