Re: Another FrankenFoil

Dude, stepping on those nuts is going to hurt like hell. Use t-nuts at least, any proper fasteners store will have four of M8 stainless for you.

Also move the rear strap 2" back and I'd suggest to give a try to 15" mast first

Re: Who has ridden the LF low aspect wings and switched to mid aspect wings?

I think the core of the question is - "besides all the cool features of a new foil am I going to miss something?" My answer to that is "yes, you will". You'll be missing lowend, cruising at low speeds in lightest of the winds. You'll be missing those slow, lazy transitions. If you don't race I don't...

Re: Gin Kiteboarding presents the Eco-Board 100% Swiss made and eco-responsible

Wouldn't it be more eco-friendly to collect micro-plastic from sea off a sailboat and then melt it down into a cheap, but properly structured and shaped plastic board?

Re: Gin Kiteboarding presents the Eco-Board 100% Swiss made and eco-responsible

is a fur coat animal-responsible too? It's also "...maximize the natural components..." thing as said above. “We went even one step further by building by hand the press (machine for sticking and compressing the layers that make the boards), nearly entirely out of wood.” Burning wood to heat up the ...

Re: Airush Wave v Wave SST v Rally

Thoughts on a wave specific kite, coming from the RPM and really like the Slingshot bar set up so also wondering if I could use the sentinel bar on the airush wave Check out Cabrinha 1x fixed bar with Trimlite - the best bar I've had in my hands and ridden so far - simple, robust, sandproof, short ...

Re: How much would you happily pay for a foil board

Bunch of kite surfboards appear on sale for $350. Foilboards should be simpler in shaping, since they mostly fly but oh well, there's none for $350 and I was happy to bargain price down to $540 plus tax.

Re: SS turbine shape 2016 Vs 2017

Didn't lay them over each other but flying 15m Turbine 2017 felt exactly the same as flying mine which is 2015. I like some of the 2017 colors better and would spend some cash just to stay on crispier, newer wing but it's as great as it's been.

Re: Lightwind / non-race foil

I love the new Lift 130 and 150 wings for light wind. Made a custom 41 liter board with Temavento and now having a blast in low wind. Can go down to 6-7 miles with the Cloud D 13.4 on it and still jibe relatively easy. 150 wing needs only about 4 miles to stay on foil, so you don't really go down o...

Lightwind / non-race foil

Been riding MHL Lift 2013, medium-low AR for quite a while and love that setup. I don't race and I'm having major blast in light wind and at low speeds. Went to 42" board - light, compact, fun, fun, fun... The setup is getting somewhat aged so I've started looking for new one and hit a problem: So m...
