Re: 11 or 12?

I was riding Slingshot and did 9, 12, 17m

I’ve switched to Core XR4s and I’m riding 9, 12, 19 and considering filling it in with a 15m, partially because my wife might right the 15m when I’m on a 19m

I’m 200lbs and find the 9m to 12m jump to be pretty good, never felt like I would want less.

Re: Gear advice for 6’2” 210lb guy

I’m 6’1 200lbs

I used to ride a Rally 12m and a Turbine 17m. I recently switched to Core because the one I demo’d handled gusts so well and had great depower.

Now I’m riding XR4s in 9m / 12m / 19m. The 19m feels like it turns faster than the 17m Turbine, and it’s much less grunty

Re: Cabrinha Contra 17 or 19m?

I'm 90kg and I ride a 146cm slingshot misfit. I used to ride a 17m Turbine, and what I found that it was really slow, and then super grunty. As soon as the wind picked up, I was immediately ripped off my line. Like one of the posters up above, I just switched to Core, and I got a XR4 19m LW, and I L...

Re: 8000 Miles on a Motorcycle, My Nobile Zen Foil and NHP Split board review

I’m considering both of those Nobile boards and had some questions 1) NHP - is this really a specialized board? I’m 200lbs and typically ride a 146. Would this be too short for me? Or ga w so much rocker that it’s only good in high winds? 2) Zen - would this be a good surf board primarily? I may eve...

Re: Grand Cayman next week

I ended up going there in April too, and it was ok. Out of 4 days, I got one day on a 12, and one day on a 17m. I rode barkers, which was beautiful, but a little crowded between the horses and the other kiters getting pushed close to short by the on shore winds. It is beautiful, and I was I had time...

Re: rainx sucks for gorpros, turtle wax is better

So glad someone else is having this problem too, no amount of rain x or licking has solved my issue. This guy recommended licking dunking or regular wax and buffing in this video on surf videography: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idRK3rOY_V4&t=136s Also, just stumbled across this on amazon: https:...

Re: End of July / beginning of August reco?

Has anyone tried la ventana or baja out on the west coast? Didn't see this on the list of places you've been, and I'm considering it.

Re: Guadaloupe

Can't tell you anything about the spot, but I'm thinking of heading there in the end of Jan, so I'm interested in feedback too.
