Re: Is Tulum good for foiling?

We went to Tulum in January and stayed at the Dreams hotel which is not good for foiling or twin tipping come to think of it . We got a taxi to extreme control Kitesurf on Tulum beach. The guys there where great , the water goes deep fairly quickly . While we where there there was enough wind for a ...

Re: any downsides to shimming stabiliser and big wing mast length

I have the Moses T40 and have used the Onda 633 on it on a variety of mast Lenghs 70/90/101

I’ve found that shimming the Mast to fueselage works best as there’s no cavitation and as Mossy says
It’s easy to do and if you don’t like it it’s easy to undo .

Re: 6m soul for foiling

I’ve got a Flysurfer 12m Soul for light wind foiling and I love it .

I did consider getting a smaller size for stronger winds but decided against it as quite often when it’s windier there’s also more chance of rain and in my experience with the 12m it’s performance is effected when wet !

Re: Is a Flysurfer Soul 18m too much for hydrofoil in light wind?

Hi bonadio , I’m the same weight as you and have owned a 17m Zephyr . I Hydrofoil with a 12m Soul and it’s all you will need size wise. I can get going in 6/7 mph no problem. The big difference between the soul and the Zephyr is that the Soul will stay in the air in much lighter air and you’ve also ...

Re: Moses 2018

I’ve tried both shimming points r.e stabiliser and mast to fuselage .
Both reduce front foot pressure equally , but I have experienced turbulence when shimming the rear stabiliser which I didn’t get with the other method .

Re: Teaching wife hydrofoil.

Hi Tomtom , my wife is a keen twin tipper but when she wanted to change her lightwind kite I suggested that she learnt to foil instead. So I bought her the Moses Onda 633 and had an old north Nugget converted to take the mast . First time out and she rode the board a few hundred metres and was on th...
