Re: Cabrinha Fireball vs slider rope.

You can just saw the hook off and get much better pivot system (save some $$ too): fireball.png Still, not as good as fully functioning slider for wavering. Yeah, you are right, that's a possiblity too. I kind of use the same now: Why a ring in addition to the loop? Do you get more of a pivoting ac...

Re: Cabrinha Fireball vs slider rope.

...I am asking if anybody has any experience with both systems. What do I gain by just another opinion not based on any experience? Useless! Re: Cabrinha Fireball vs slider rope.

Bartolo, you are very welcome. My first experience with a rope slider system was with a Dynabar. Personally, I did not like it. My experience with it was like yours. The two sliders i use currently are the Ride Engine and I use the Dakine Option Spreader bar with the Dakine C-1. I use the Dakine Hoo...

Re: Cabrinha Fireball vs slider rope.

Anybody has experience with the fireball compared to a slider rope bar? Is it similar as good for strapless toeside riding as a slider rope bar? I have a Prolimit Vapor hardshell harness and defintely need something other than a fixed hook for waveriding so the harness can stay in its fixed positio...

Re: Cabrinha Fireball vs slider rope.

So you have used Fireball extensively in comparison riding toeside, or this is just your opinion? It doesn't matter if he used it extensively, or not -- it is a matter of simple physics/mechanics. The slider moves to the hips, and fireball doesn't. And if you are constrained in how much the connect...

Re: 2016 switchblade and overdrive 1x trim lite bar

Also, Cabbie what is the deal with all the black smudge from the pu tubes from 2016 bars? (Maybe I missed your response from that thread also) Tight Lines Clew In Sand will cause wear on the SLF bungee security line for sure!!! If your SLF bungee security line has the thin sewn loop on the leash en...

Re: Much difference between 10 and 12?

Or 11? Tried a Drifter 10 and other wave kites in 10m recently and liked them, but with our wind I wondered about a 12m for more bottom end. Not interested in chasing low wind riding, as the water is too flat on the lake, but when it gets to about 18 knots I want to ride a directional :D Do t...

Re: Ozone Enduro v2 ? are we there yet?

Please please ozone don't mess this kite up. I am an advanced rider in all disciplines and have flown many kites. The V-1 is just so so good. I've not had a better. I was with Naish for many years but the incessant changing of kites for changes sake then finally killing off the park was nuts. Leave...
