Re: Powered kiteloop, fronthand not staying on bar.

I usually "fishpole" the bar in a kiteloop unless I'm doing a drag or grab or something like that. I put both hands on the rear part of the bar. There's no reason you actually need to put your hand on the front part of the bar in a kiteloop. Keep doing what you are doing Thanks, very appreciated!

Powered kiteloop, fronthand not staying on bar.

Hoping for some technique advice on powered loops. I am very comfortable doing surface downloops, surface kiteloops and heliloops as well as looping back to untwist lines. I have worked on powered loops right as I leave the water for maximum power for a while. However, I notice that I can not keep m...

Re: Lo Stagnone - where to launch

Thank you, that is awesome! The prognosis from wednesday, when we could kite, seems to be 8-11 knots. Is it typically more due to thermal wind, or does it look a bit as if there might be not be a lot of kiteable wind? We will have some non-kiters with us. To have some infrastructure like a bar and s...

Lo Stagnone - where to launch

Going to Lo Stagnone next week. We will be staying in a hotel directly at the water called Laguna dei Fenici, which is about 1 kilometre south from kiteschools like Level Up or ProKite Rondina. I am not sure the hotel is suitable to launch at? Maybe somebody has experience at the spot? Where would y...

Sandpaper edges of TT?

I am thinking about sandpapering the edges of my Trax HRD to better be able to grab it, as there are some smaller cracks and uneven spots, and I don't want to cut myself. Now I am a little in doubt if it is ok to do this, and if I might worsen the boards attributes? The rails are important for the p...

Re: Fisherhaven / Bot River Lagoon

I had the privilege of sharing this spot with my man Rynhardt that day and it was awesome!
Big stoke, breuw, to put it that way.

The drive from Cape Town is beautiful in itself. It is 1,5 hours from Blaauwberg though.

Anyone planning to kite in the region today or tomorrow?

Re: Help me understand Cape Town wind on the basis of this Windguru forecast

Gear is packed, and I found place for a 15. Probably will carry it across the globe and not use it, but the possibility is there. If I walk to the beach, can I leave my pump while being out, or is that a high risk item too? If I kite until 19.30, and then walk home a few 100 m in Sunset beach in th...
