Re: tips for west coast mexico (chamela, careyes, manzanilla)

Chamela is a good place to go (I think there is a place there where there might be waves to surf), but there are plenty of small places that you might be able to kite if the wind is right; I would tend to hidrofoil better because if the conditions change, you would still be able to go back (upwind o...

I would take a small foilboar with a large wing and a kite like the hyperlink 9m and only kite if the wind is right. ... but if it is, it will be grate

Re: "The Hybrid" from Flysurfer

Thanks, I have the Hysper 6m (also a hybrid) for 12 to 23 knots (specially downwind), the Hysper 11m for low wind (a 14m Hysper would be good for extreme low wind) but are trying to find the high wind complement for hidrofoiling; maybe a combination of a 6m (or 4m) lei and the 2.5m hybrid from fs. I...

Re: "The Hybrid" from Flysurfer

Helo Jason, I get your smile in those conditions jaja. I am more interested in the high wind limit; also which kite would be best for the higher wind range (for you) in hidrofoil, the 6m Soul ot this 2.5m hibrid? I gues that for waves mabe the hibrid, but I wonder, for free ride or downwind runs alo...

Re: Gin Marabou v2 reviews ?

I would add to the list:

* Wind range; would the 4m be able to hidrofoil in a higher wind than a ss like a 4m peak? Would the 8m be better to hidrofoil in 24 knots (than a ss like the peak and how much of a difference)?

Re: Single skin foil kite with closed cell LE V2

For me the Hysper 6m from Sky Country is almost a single kite quiver for foiling, it can go from 10 to 24 knots without a problem. The 11m (also hysper) is a grate complement for very low wind starting from 6 to 16 knots with gusts up to 20. For some reason the 4m Hysper si not so good for me becaus...

Re: Learning to jump with the foil With a kite, BTW

I am thinking that I want to jump on hydrofoil with kite and wonder if foot hooks are good? straps much better? I see that it is possible to jmp strapless but are thinking that to learn straps is the way? In both feet or just front? Thanks, any experience with this?

Re: hybrid discipline: "Kite-Big-Foil" = wingfoil pulled by kite

Maybe Im wrong, but IMO is painful to swim with a kite packed between you and 30L board. The kite is underwater, I can not paddle correctly so in that case I push the board while swimming. We are taking about lightwind, so the kite would not be small. I agree with bragnouff, it is preferable for me...

Re: hybrid discipline: "Kite-Big-Foil" = wingfoil pulled by kite

...... A foilboard with 30-40l does this job as well. You don´t need a sluggish 70l board for that. I personally prefer something fast, agile and fun, also in light winds. Also, with a 14m2 single skin, a 900cm2 wing is enough to get you going in 3-4 knots if you know what you are doing. I will try...
