I believe I saw the details of measurements here.

I have compared my rrd emotion 17 with this Flite 17 and they are roughly the same size. So the Flite is not small. The Turbine is just huge.

Re: "Thruster" (Liquid Force) wing for beginners

I ride both, and like both. Thruster: (w/ "HD" fuselage, aluminum masts 60cm and 94cm) - stalls at low boardspeeds like all 'kite' foils - more sensitive to pitch (leads to breach/nosedive), upset more by water turbulence + less roll stability means faster / easier to carve around at speed + durable...

Only downsides to the Patagonia are price and they aren’t as flexible as my Flashbomb

Re: Kite for light wind - Recommendations

Read this thread: Hello Everyone, This is my first time posting on a kite forum but I felt that my experiences with different kites and boards could help some of you that are searching for the best experience in this sport. I have been kiting since 2005 but didn't get serious until 2009. My passion ...

Re: Sanding the trailing edge and wing tips of the LF Impulse?

Compared to my other foils my Cloud 9 (LF Impulse) is very dull. I would not sand it. The dull tips and edges was one of the selling points for me. Seems a lot safer than other foils. (S24 wing) agreed, mine seems very unlikely to cause a cut, it's about as blunt as "good" wings get. Thankfully, st...

Re: A case for full face?

My carbon foil (Liquid Force Impulse) stays on its side and just bobs in place when I crash. Then it slowly sinks and eventually comes down wind. That "carbon" foil (large LF Impulse carbon wingset, carbon fuse, AL mast, lightweight composite 4'8" galaxy foilboard -- still ends up being a >5kg asse...

in kiting is you have a power source that pulls you away from the foil in wipeouts.
A frequent issue (discussed by many here) is the board chasing you down after a forward fall and striking you in the head with speed, while you're floating in the water. ie: my avatar ;)

Re: A case for full face?

"kayak polo helmet". Those are quite small and have full face metal face guard and made to endure paddle hits. That's interesting, thanks. And they sell the guards separately for retrofit too... https://photos.smugmug.com/Sports/CP/12i-9W/i-skTGH3L/0/5bb5fd55/S/0032_D3S_3980a_12i5_%28c%29ScotGoodma...

Re: A case for full face?

Collecting full-face helmet references... shopping for myself, after my foilboard recently chased me down and ran me over, leading to an ER visit. It could have easily knocked out teeth. Does any manufacturer make a helmet with a face mask to protect the face? Back in windsurfing days, there were a ...

Re: Back to the roots of hydrofoiling ?

BTW, anyone have info or pics of the KBHF skeleton-like board someone tried, that was a pair of boots with a frame but otherwise no deck?

Searched but didn't find... thx in advance
