Re: Naish Pivot 14m vs Cabrinha Contra 13m

After flying the Pivot for 6 months, I found I really like the kite. However, the ATB Naish bar, I'm not that much of a fan of. Good to hear positive feedback from those that use Cabrihna bars with their Pivots. Going forward I will likely do the same.

Re: North bag zips complete sh*t!

Necessity is the mother of invention. Someone should/could design and produce a bag with all of the feature that "we" all would be stoked on and sell it at a reasonable price. I did a little research online and found a European company that has one but at $100 it seemed overpriced...for a bag.

Re: North Zippers

Seems like some of the best kite makers have some room for improvement with their bags. My new Nash kite bag left me underwhelmed (kite is outstanding) so I switched bags and now carry it in my 2011 Cabrihna bag.

Kite bag alternatives?

Now that I have experience with several kite makers and their kite bags, I want to reach out and get some suggestions on alternative ways to pack kites and gear. Typically I can pull my vehicle up to the kite launch and unpack/pack gear easily. As of late I have been hitting up a spot where I have t...

Re: How many winters does your wetsuit last?

Excell 4/3 for California waters. I have have a couple of older Excell 4/3's (2nd & 3rd String I call them). People occasionally poke fun at the older suits because they look a little raggedy but they still work. I surf year round and kite so all my suits get a lot of use (newer suit used in the win...

Re: Windy + All-inclusive resort + August + Carrib or Mexico

I can speak for Jamaica. I stayed at the Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall late March. Had good wind for two days. Took a taxi "off campus" about 15 minutes drive and the instructor met me at the beach with all the gear. Good time. We had the beach to ourselves and a rasta shack down the way. A little sketchy ...

Panama in early Jully?

Hi All, I will be traveling to the pacific side of Panama in early July. I know it is a long shot, but is it windy there during that time and if so where to go? Will have a rental car. It's looking like this will be more of a surfing run but would like to kite if that is a possibility. Thanks, CW

Re: Naish Pivot 14m vs Cabrinha Contra 13m

I'm going to bump this back back up as I am interested forum input as well. I rode a friends 12M Pivot and was impressed, and I am considering the 12M Pivot to replace my older 11M Switchblade. I am also considering a 13M Contra as my lighter wind kite. From what other members have mentioned, I do n...
