Re: Nosaro Costa Rica Beta

+ Nosara has some fun surf, but no kiting.
Check out the Harmony Hotel.
If you like coffee, jam as much in your luggage as you can and take it home. Outstanding stuff!

Re: What size kite for maui?

Anyone have thoughts on the down side of renting gear on Maui? I am headed out next month (first time there) and found a company that rents gear. I am looking at only taking my harness. They said I can switch kites and boards as needed.

Re: Belize Ambergris Caye - Info Please

Hey Don, I was there in May 2016, for a week. Although I didnt kite, it was on my mind as there was decent winds half of the days we were there. I would think a foil would be perfect...just be careful of shallow reefs. We traveled by boat most of our trip and I did see a kiter up from where you are ...

Surftech Quick Grip Spray - anyone try it?

I have a Surftech surfboard that I have re-purposed for kitesurfing. I want to move away from wax and I am considering Surftech Quick Grip Spray. Anyone have experience with this spray on traction? IF so, is it a good grip? Is it easy to remove if I decide to go with a traction pad option? Thanks fo...

Re: How old is your oldest kite you still ride on?

2011 Cabrihna Switchblade 11M. This was my "beginner" kite. I can't believe that it's still in good shape. It's been slammed into the sand, and been washed through the sandy, shore pound surf more times then I care to admit. Still, no tears, or holes. Bought a Naish 12M pivot last summer and have al...

Re: Naish Pivot 14m vs Cabrinha Contra 13m

After flying the Pivot for 6 months, I found I really like the kite. However, the ATB Naish bar, I'm not that much of a fan of. Good to hear positive feedback from those that use Cabrihna bars with their Pivots. Going forward I will likely do the same.

Re: North bag zips complete sh*t!

Necessity is the mother of invention. Someone should/could design and produce a bag with all of the feature that "we" all would be stoked on and sell it at a reasonable price. I did a little research online and found a European company that has one but at $100 it seemed overpriced...for a bag.

Re: North Zippers

Seems like some of the best kite makers have some room for improvement with their bags. My new Nash kite bag left me underwhelmed (kite is outstanding) so I switched bags and now carry it in my 2011 Cabrihna bag.

Kite bag alternatives?

Now that I have experience with several kite makers and their kite bags, I want to reach out and get some suggestions on alternative ways to pack kites and gear. Typically I can pull my vehicle up to the kite launch and unpack/pack gear easily. As of late I have been hitting up a spot where I have t...
