You wouldnt have lots of leverage to pull the trim but you also wouldnt have to reach over your bar to trim and change your point of balance.

Just because you can't do it doesn't mean its impossible. In 11 knots i have hit 10m on a prodigy and an old tkf foil and I suck compared to some local foilers. so with a fast wing and fast light kite should be able to in 8 knotts. I was thinking of building one of these the other day. My vision would have hinges on the wings so the front wing sits at 1 degree and the rear at -2. Otherwise it will be a horribly inefficient foil. This looks to have both wings set at 0 which will be rideable but lack top speed and stability.

As others have said I think it will depend highly on the wing style you ride on but also your body weight.
