Re: Ride Engine Size

As of right now, 4 people say Medium, 1 says Large, 2 don't say specifically (1 says "prefers big", 1 says "try them on"). :)

Re: Ride Engine Size

Medium... I'm a 32" and bought a small, but had a hard time choosing between small and medium. The small fits me quite snug and sits under my ribs, not over, which is how I want to wear a waist harness. If you are truly a 34" then I think the Medium would be perfect for you.

Re: Tried a backroll, broke some ribs!

Just curious, were you wearing an impact vest? Do you think the rib injury was from the impact or perhaps from your harness (sounds like impact from what you described)?

Re: Waterproof cell phone recommendation

I got a small and cheap cell phone from China (no name for 1$) It lasts about a week on a full charge, I stick it in a condom and its good to go. A few numbers on the speed dial make it easier to operate... The other option is also working fine, Samsung G8 in a waterproof bag just in case and I sti...

Re: Waterproof cell phone recommendation

I concur with the waterproof bag recommendation... I've used these for years and they have never failed me... https://aquapacusa.com/shop/waterproof-phone-cases/waterproof-phone-case-small/ If you want a separate phone just for kiting that's obviously up to you, but I personally wouldn't want to bot...

Re: dynamic differences with seat and waist harness

Oh sorry, i am not clear when i write..... what do you use to attach the camera to your lines? I have the GPH6. I have one from kitesurfmount.com. it's ok, but has too many pieces to fumble with. A friend of mine is the US distributor for the U-Go mount which I think is better... www.ugokiteboardin...

Re: dynamic differences with seat and waist harness

Ibakbr, what do you use for your camera? I am looking at buying a RE waste harness as i have been revisiting the limitations using my dakine seat harness. I have a GoPro Session 4 and 5. The video linked above was using the 5, and IIRC I had it on the 2.7k setting. Editing software was Vegas Movie ...

Re: dynamic differences with seat and waist harness

I've gone back and forth between the Dakine shorts and a couple of different waist harnesses. My first waist harness was the Pyro, which was really good, but I switched to the RE and like it even better. Because I learned with the shorts, they've been my go-to harness forever and I wear them 90% of ...

Re: using a 17 inch bar 23M lines on 12m kite

I have always used just one 20" bar for a 9m, 12m, and 15m, but recently just bought and started using the 23" bar (with 27m lines) for my 15m and I was surprised at how much difference there is due to bar length. The kite steers much quicker and is just easier to fly. That said, for traveling on a ...
