Re: Pain at the Elbow - Kiter's Elbow: Treatment & Prevention

Suffered for 10 months, tried everything but injections and surgery, nothing helped immediately. Did loads of research and time was the ultimate healer. Haven't had a problem in 5 years, very strange. Very frustrating condition. Even hired a massage therapist ! Taught me all the pressure points to ...

Re: Waist and seat harness in the same session?

Yes. I'm not good enough to use the word "style" to describe my riding (i.e. freestyle), but I do go back and forth between the two. I do it mostly to try and see which one I like better with the intention of sticking with just one, but in the end there are things I like about both. Sometimes I'll r...

Re: Sunset Beach, NC?

That's likely a good location for May. The SW winds will start kicking in with nice side-on conditions. Because of the sand bars near the inlet, it may be better to ride on either side of the inlet on and in between the sand bars, which would also keep you out of the strongest current. Here's a live...

Re: Ride Engine Size

As of right now, 4 people say Medium, 1 says Large, 2 don't say specifically (1 says "prefers big", 1 says "try them on"). :)

Re: Ride Engine Size

Medium... I'm a 32" and bought a small, but had a hard time choosing between small and medium. The small fits me quite snug and sits under my ribs, not over, which is how I want to wear a waist harness. If you are truly a 34" then I think the Medium would be perfect for you.

Re: Tried a backroll, broke some ribs!

Just curious, were you wearing an impact vest? Do you think the rib injury was from the impact or perhaps from your harness (sounds like impact from what you described)?

Re: Waterproof cell phone recommendation

I got a small and cheap cell phone from China (no name for 1$) It lasts about a week on a full charge, I stick it in a condom and its good to go. A few numbers on the speed dial make it easier to operate... The other option is also working fine, Samsung G8 in a waterproof bag just in case and I sti...

Re: Waterproof cell phone recommendation

I concur with the waterproof bag recommendation... I've used these for years and they have never failed me... https://aquapacusa.com/shop/waterproof-phone-cases/waterproof-phone-case-small/ If you want a separate phone just for kiting that's obviously up to you, but I personally wouldn't want to bot...

Re: dynamic differences with seat and waist harness

Oh sorry, i am not clear when i write..... what do you use to attach the camera to your lines? I have the GPH6. I have one from kitesurfmount.com. it's ok, but has too many pieces to fumble with. A friend of mine is the US distributor for the U-Go mount which I think is better... www.ugokiteboardin...
