Re: dynamic differences with seat and waist harness

Oh sorry, i am not clear when i write..... what do you use to attach the camera to your lines? I have the GPH6. I have one from kitesurfmount.com. it's ok, but has too many pieces to fumble with. A friend of mine is the US distributor for the U-Go mount which I think is better... www.ugokiteboardin...

Re: dynamic differences with seat and waist harness

Ibakbr, what do you use for your camera? I am looking at buying a RE waste harness as i have been revisiting the limitations using my dakine seat harness. I have a GoPro Session 4 and 5. The video linked above was using the 5, and IIRC I had it on the 2.7k setting. Editing software was Vegas Movie ...

Re: dynamic differences with seat and waist harness

I've gone back and forth between the Dakine shorts and a couple of different waist harnesses. My first waist harness was the Pyro, which was really good, but I switched to the RE and like it even better. Because I learned with the shorts, they've been my go-to harness forever and I wear them 90% of ...

Re: using a 17 inch bar 23M lines on 12m kite

I have always used just one 20" bar for a 9m, 12m, and 15m, but recently just bought and started using the 23" bar (with 27m lines) for my 15m and I was surprised at how much difference there is due to bar length. The kite steers much quicker and is just easier to fly. That said, for traveling on a ...

Re: ION B2 2018 shorts sizing help!

Hi, I have the Dakine harness shorts and use large shorts with 2018 8" small rope spreader. If I had wider spreader it would be too big. That Ion spreader looks like it has same spreader attachment as 2017 Dakine spreader. ( 2018 they redesigned it...) 2017 is total bad design and will fail on Daki...

Re: Anyone using a boat to go kitesurfing? Got any tips?

Yes, I use a small skiff and the local kite school uses a large pontoon boat. Admittedly a pontoon is probably best, but the small skiff meets my needs better. For it's size, it holds a ton of gear, plus it's super nimble, easy to handle, easy to tow and launch, and can plane in knee deep water or ...

Re: Kitesurfing Saint Martin

I windsurfed in Orient Bay many years ago, and it's a good kite spot. Le Gallion also looked like an awesome flat water spot, but I read somewhere a long time ago that Le Gallion is closed to kites... I have no idea if that's true or not, but worth checking. Maybe the old rules are completely abando...
