Re: Any lightwind-specific surfboards left on the market?

The largest size of the Cabrinha Method (5'4) was designed specifically for light wind surfboard riding in mind. The smaller sizes are great for strapless tricks but the 5'4 is a lightwind machine.

Re: Cabrinha drifter for foil or Contra 1s?

What would realistically be the low end and high end on a 1000cm2 foil fw with a 6m drifter? And on a 6m 1s? A small 1 strut kite will likely work much better for light wind foiling. It's hard to say what the low end would be without knowing your weight and your skill level but I weight 85kg. With ...

Re: Cabrinha drifter for foil or Contra 1s?

At your weight, I would definitely consider a drifter in the small sizes. Yes it's heavier but once it's over 18 knots that weight isn't going to matter but the drifter will be much more versatile. My quiver I keep around is a 7, 9, 11 drifter. I also keep the 11m 1 strut around for the super light...

Re: Cabrinha drifter for foil or Contra 1s?

Guys, I need advice from You. I'm 100 kg and I have already 11 and 9 contra 1 s, just for foiling only. but I'm also interested wave riding. and I started thinking about 7m or 6 meters drifter. but I also would like to use it for foiling for strong winds. so maybe 7s 1 strut (but 1s is not dedicate...

Re: Advise on size of Cabrinha Flare surfboard

Hi all, I want to change my surfboard to get one that suits the conditions I ride better. I have been using a surfboard for 2 years now and my first (and only) surfboard has been a Slingshot Converter 5'4" with dimensions 5'4" X 18 3/18" X 2"3/8 X 26L. From my research and considering availability ...

Re: Going from Cabrinha Switchblade to Drifter or Moto Size question

Hi, I am 75kg and 1,70mts pretty standard and intermediate kite rider. I am actually on a 8 and 10 Switchblade that I was told was the best for learning. As I progressed and I am now riding on the open sea with waves, doing downwinds, that sort of thing, the Switchblade is getting "heavy" so I want...

Re: Which 8m Big Air kite should I buy?

I primarily ride foil kites, but in wind over 30 knots I prefer to launch an LEI. I am looking for a big air kite that has the following attributes: 1. Light bar pressure 2. Easy to boost 3. Doesn’t want to loop (so no orbit) 4. Lots of hang time. 5. Huge depower 6. Stable in the gusts No, I am not...
