Re: Feedback on 2015 Liquid Force Rocket Fish Foil (not board)

I learnt on one too, up and in some sort of control by session 6. You should replace all the Allen Head bolts with A2 or A4 Torx head bolts; the Allen head bolts that it comes with are made of cheese they are so soft! It will cost a few quid but save you from the frustration of a jammed bolt in the ...

Re: flying foot switch - advice needed

I still ride with two front straps because it makes the foot switch far less complex. I have tried three straps and have hurt myself in a crash so went straight back to two. I pump the foil slightly as i raise the kite, switch feet at the apex of the foil pump and concentrate on getting my hips turn...

Re: flying foot switch - advice needed

A breakthrough point for me was, after the foot switch to toe side, I immediately remove my rear hand from the bar and extend my arm into the inside of the turn for balance. At the same time i am using my front hand to downloop the kite. I have found that aiming for this arm out stance helps initiat...

Re: Moses front wings - a guide

The HP580 should be paired with the Stab345 for a race setup. I have both the HP560 with 330 and the HP580 with 345 both have never mixed and matched. The HP580 has a bit more glide and is faster through gybes so you have to be careful not to overtake your kite. I dont see why the 330 stab wouldn't ...

Re: Moses Onda 633 SUP combo - what board is your choice?

The Vorace mast from 2016 is not vertical, and it causes the wings to sit about 5cm further aft than their other masts. This should see you comfortably back into the front straps on the T40.

Re: Foot Strap recommendations

I use a pair of twin tip foot straps for the front two, for pretty much the same reasons you have stated.

Re: Alpine/Axis/Slingshot-Moses

If you go for an Alpine Carbon or an older Moses Vorace be aware that the mast is not vertical, it has either a fwd or aft angle, i guess to make it cut the water better? This does mean that you can end up on the limits of your foot strap and tracks just to get a balanced ride. Its not an issue if i...

Re: looking for large volume but light board

i wanted a Moses T60, but with rails. I had a Temavento made for me that is very similar to the current SYNC board that he is making. I honestly can't fault it, beautifully made and ideal for freeride foiling. If you buy a Temavento you will not be sorry.

Re: Mounting a hydrofoil on your TT

I drilled foil mounting holes and front footstrap holes in a Flysurfer Flywave. Epoxy in from the top some T nuts to bolt the foil into and use Rivnuts in the extra footstrap holes to give 2 front straps. I also made up a plate from paulownia wood to fit underneath and reduce flex. It works well as ...
