Re: Broken control bar

I think you lit your fuse a bit too early. Read his whole paragraph before ranting; Let me try to clear it for you: the bar is just that. The bar. Nothing wrong with my 2005 Cab bar. The bits and pieces with the bar tho makes a control bar, and than you do this: So would you give the recommendation...

Re: Broken control bar

You do not need Ozone bar. And as a beginner, they will sell u whatever. Get any second hand bar in decent condition, 4 or 5 lines, simply coz will cost less than a new set of lines. Safety of 5 lines kite is negligible tho. Keep the old bar, u might like the feel of it more. Than get help if neede...

Re: Choosing size on a wave board, please help

To be honest all the f-one boards are a little too thin for real world conditions but if I had to choose one the Slice would be it. Slappy is the best poster in opposition to my position on "volume being bad" for kitesurfboards. And not only is he honest with his vids, he is also riding a foamie. T...

Re: Choosing size on a wave board, please help

21 liters are not too little? I see the mitu 5'8 have almost 24 liters volume... There are 2 schools of thought on volume in kitesurfboards: 1. The dedicated strapless crowd, who try to simulate the limitations of prone surfing with kitesurfing, feel that volume is necessary - or at least beneficia...

Re: Choosing size on a wave board, please help

Coming from my experience at 100kg, the width looks to be a cm shy of what I would want, but perfect for you. That said, I would go with the next size down unless you have some fantasy about this being a "light wind" board. In either size, it will likely not be better in light wind than a regular, b...

Re: The Most Important Skill To Develop For the Entry & Future Kite Foiler

can you please tell us a bit more about that? Tried both? How do they compare? I tried both as a kiter friend purchased the Trotter first to try, then got a Onewheel, then bought another (new XR model) Onewheel to share with family and friends. After he got his first Onewheel and was waiting for th...

Re: What is kitesurfing for you? This it is for me

It is very entertaining to watch people argue the validity/wisdom of their personal decisions when they have very little of the concept of statistical distribution of possible future outcomes. In tend to agree with the statement, "We'll see." For a simple explanation, watch below. https://www.youtub...

Re: The Most Important Skill To Develop For the Entry & Future Kite Foiler

Somebody put a "trotter" Chinese knock off one wheel in my garage and it was awesome!. But the actual "onewheel" is waaaaayyyy better. Ain't got the dough for that though. Funny that the Chinese knockoff is good enough to make you know that you need the real thing to really be happy. Good stuff from...

Re: Ozone Edge for beginners

Kite speed should match board speed. The big Edge would better match a spleene door ridden fast. If the kite flies faster than the board it will constantly find the edge of the window and lose power. So a heavy beginner on a chubby surfboard is going to go slow. You need a big grunty kite that sits...
