Re: Peter Lynn: Swell Predicted

Hi Ced Got to try the new ten point five swell a couple of times now. Same low end grunt and great range as other sizes. Be a great kite for someone a bit lighter as a larger kite or a good broad range travel kite. Tried it in some stronger stuff that I normally would use the nine in to test the upp...

Re: Peter Lynn: Swell Predicted

Hi Ced. I have a 12, 9 and 7 in my truck now. The wind was backing off a bit by the time I got to the beach at six last night and the gang was coming off of the water on their nines and a few guys were left on tens. I am heavy and really wanted to spend some time on the nine so up it went. Got a fan...

Re: Peter Lynn: Swell Predicted

Nice video Ced. Looks like you get a lot of seven meter days out there in paradise. It's really blowing but the kite seems to drift very well like the larger 12. A 12, 9 and seven are on their way here. Can not wait to try the smaller ones. We often have very gusty stronger winds when we actually ge...

Re: Peter Lynn: Swell Predicted

Hi Longwave. The RRD obsession is one of my favorite all around kites with great power per size but as you said the turning on the Swell 12 is better, while still providing great grunt and drift and for waves a better pick IMHO. . The obsession has more projected area for power than say the PL escap...

Re: Peter Lynn: Swell Predicted

Nice vid Ced. Those sizes look very fast as predicted with good pop and range apparently. My three year old would not understand a trade of his preschool money for new kites for dad. Family accounting practices are odd that way.... You have an amazing water playground over there. Was that a white po...

Re: Peter Lynn: Swell Predicted

If only I were your weight. The seven sounds like the bomb. Does if feel grunty to get you out of the hole in lulls? Being able to chuck a kite around in the air to generate power quickly is fantastic when you add in initially good grunt production. This is a great characteristic of the 12m. Had a f...

Re: Peter Lynn: Swell Predicted

Have had a bunch more days on the Swell 12 m and can now confidently say it has fantastic grunt, drift, turning, stability, relaunch and range. A great down the line side off wave spot up the coast let me exploit a day of low wind with guys on 17m kites to most switching out to nine meter conditions....

Re: A different story !!!

Thanks for a wonderful soulful film that even my non kiting(yet) family will enjoy as much as I just did.
You really made my day.
Gracias!

Re: Peter Lynn: Swell Predicted

I would have to agree with the reviewers Ced. I am really digging the 12 m.. Been getting great power and turning even on the middle setting and have been forcing myself to keep off of the trailing edge knot (as I tend to do with most other kites being tested) to improve turning. There is good drift...

Re: Kitesurfing Las Vegas!

Many years ago we were fortunate enough to kite out there. We also taught a few friends to kite out there in the middle of the lake but we tried to always use a boat or less effectively for that environment, our jetski to take them far away from main kite beach launch and followed students for miles...
