Re: Groove Skate

Theres a lot of good things being said about the Groove skate but I'm wondering what in the design sets it apart from other pocket boards. Gunnar in his review says its 3.5cm thick but the Groove website says its thickest part is 10cm...confused...is it domed or who is better with a ruler Gunnar or ...

Re: Learning with Zeeko Carver vs Green

While learning I went for very loose straps until the day I wiped out and my foot got pushed in further as I fell back and the foil folded up towards me. The twisted ankle had me off the water for a while. Since then I've gone over to two foot hooks at the front, great for helping position the board...

Re: Pocket board rocker

Is that 10 or 13 cm and over what length. Have you finished and tried it yet?

Groove Skate

Anyone riding one of these? Any feedback? Seems to have loads of rocker and was wondering if this had any negative consequences such as making it hard to get going in light winds.

Re: Pocket board rocker

Thanks BWD, really useful info. Has anyone measured how much rocker the Groove has? Be interested to know if it's gone even more extreme than the 10cm. It certainly looks like it might have from the video on their website.

Pocket board rocker

I'm starting to plan a pocket board (125 x 48) build and was hoping for some input on how much rocker to build in. I'd be very interested if anyone has measured how much rocker there is in the Groove Skate foilboard. It seems to be a lot more than other pocket boards Ive seen. Also, what about rocke...

Re: Anti-slip material on foil board. Where to buy?

Just make sure you use caster sugar and not granulated. Granulated will give you a deck like 40 grit abrasive that will sand off the soles of your feet...I made that mistake once.

Re: Shinn el Stubbo Zeeko Aluminium 90cm Hydrofoil

Hi all, has anyone ridden the Shinn el Stubbo Zeeko Aluminium 90cm Hydrofoil? Would you recommend it? I'm looking to get into foiling. Have never foiled before but don't want to waste time on a 30 or 60cm mast, just want to get one hydrofoil for freeriding when the winds too light for wakestyle/the...

Cathay Pacific - Any good?

I'm planning a trip to Australia from the UK next November and I am thinking of flying Cathay Pacific. I will be taking my TT and two kites. Has anyone on here flown with them and with kit? They have a 32kg and 203cm total dimensions allowance. My board bag is on the 203cm mark so just wondering how...
