Re: Harbour Island Bahamas

I have kited there a couple of times. You may see another kiter there perhaps as I have in the past. There are a ton of dead shallow coral heads just off the beach east of the island. So, I would use something with short fins and try to avoid low tide or at least hitting the heads. I would avoid th...

Re: Eleveight FS Review

Thx all for feedback! Here is mine. I just rode one and loved it. I went out in 40 degree water and froze my a$$ off, but stayed out for 1.5 hours. Here are first impressions. Know that I'm a relative noob and this was my first hybrid c kite flight. I'm comparing this to the Liquid Force Wow, NV, an...

Risk vs reward... learning and progression at 40

I have three basic questions. 1) What tricks / jumps / situations present the highest risk of injury? 2) If you are a 40 yr old beginner / intermediate, what tricks / etc present an unacceptable risk reward profile? 3) Is it worth moving to a full C kite? I started 1.5 years ago and like everyone on...

Re: Eleveight FS Review

Awesome, thx Harppa. So to summarize, in your and you're friend's experience the FS Wind range: large for a C kite Boost potential: up there with KOA winning kites (best guess) Freestyle unhooked: good Behavior: more traditional C than hybrid C Would love anyone else's opinion, particularly about de...

Eleveight FS Review

I'm dying for a comprehensive Eleveight FS review thread. The only one on Kiteforum was bombed by some semantics troll. My two primary questions are: 1. Does this kite have the same boost / max height potential as the Naish Torch / North Rebel / other top jumping kites? 2. Does this kite have signif...
