Re: Is zeeko blaster foil a flop?

The blaster is somewhere around 800 square cm? Maybe just under. Pretty sure its a touch bigger than their carver wing at 720. It I contacted them and was told they are going to come out with a larger lower aspect wing in the near future, but no word yet. It does feel like they are just that little ...

Re: Ideal foil depth for wave foiling?

Now I'm not saying Peter is wrong, but this thread was inspired by the following: http://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=196&t=2401266&hilit=mast+length Peter is outside consensus in that one where the majority are settling around 75cm for low aspect wave wings like the 633. No doubt there are pros an...

Re: harness choice, doctors tale of woes.

It is what it is.

Give it a few more years. sitting in an office chair probably didn't hurt for the first decade either.

Re: What is this thing ?

That short video clip shows it pretty perfectly with respect to kite hydrofoils. The vortex is not visible until it has air in it. The foiler breaches a wing and you can clearly see the air propagate back from that spot through the vortex as it is sucked in by the negative pressure within. It traces...

Re: New Santiboards Donkey Kiteboard - anyone tested it?

That is truly a tough choice to understand! Messy original graphics have been done many times. Sexualized graphics too. Best used to have a board that was pretty camo looking at first glance, but up close was suggestively posed female outlines. Beastiality tho, thats taking it to a whole nother leve...

Re: Ideal foil depth for wave foiling?

I guess it does come down to ride height. I have always felt too high carving in swell or riding bigger swell at the beach. If I ride my current mast (only 88 cm) at the height I want, I can't help feeling my foil is out the back in some of the top turns and on a lot of the small stuff. The surf and...

Ideal foil depth for wave foiling?

Just to separate this topic from mast length, to take ride height and foil responsiveness out of the topic.

How deep is too deep to get the most out of any given wave? Percentage of wave height?

Re: harness choice, doctors tale of woes.

No doubt rib injury is more prevalent with a waist harness. There is also less abdominal strain in a seat when jumping. Then again, seat harnesses put a nutating force through the pelvis reversing the lumbar curve, which is problematic when loading, i.e. jumping, riding in chop or overpowered. Gener...

Re: Foot switches with smaller board

Not much different, unless you touch down.

There is less nose/swing weight on the shorted board, so you might find the board a little faster to react to weight shifts, but its all the same footwork in pretty much the same spots with the same kite mechanics and timing.
