Re: Hydrofoil Videos

Pretty sure the overwhelming majority of those retiring before 40 are fortunate in circumstance at birth.

This dude has it good. All the toys in their newest form delivered to the tropics.

Re: selfish short term kite industry

Wait, what? Didn't Alvaro Onieva win the last comp that Toby was in. It was after a normal PKRA event in Germany back in 2012. It was a one off and they called it a World Championship! Alvaro rode the final in a rubber bull mask to show how lame it was. https://youtu.be/QdUSoMAds7c The wake crew are...

Re: selfish short term kite industry

OK not saying LWC's forecasts of doom and gloom and industry conspiracy is on point, but discounting any group, youth or otherwise is pretty stupid, esp from someone working in the biz. Your points about needing some cash and a set of wheels is right, but kids are kids and they find a way. They have...

Re: selfish short term kite industry

Knew this was a LWC post from the title. Dude, The industry is not some sentient being. Its a collections of companies who are in direct competition with one another. They steal each others ideas and talent whenever possible. There is more fashion than substance in kite evolution when looked at in y...

Re: Do you disassemble your foilboard after each use?

Re hardware. I was also pretty worried about stripping them with regular use, and even went so far as to source a few extras for certain parts. Don't even know where those are now and three years in haven't had any sig wear on the originals that came with the foil. With time you learn not to over ti...

Re: Do you disassemble your foilboard after each use?

I get that, but you'd survive! Besides, tuttle requires a thicker board. Thin low rocker board then mast then flat wing foil stacks about the depth of the plate width. Lies pretty flat in the bottom of the roof box. Way lower profile than a surfboard with fins. I'd bet its less than a tuttle board, ...

Re: Do you disassemble your foilboard after each use?

I took out all interior in my 3 series cause kite life Nice, that's commitment. Was thinking about it and, one thing I kinda like about how my foil breaks down is that it has flat wings. Thin pocket board, mast and foil stack so flat it would fit between the seats of a Ferrari. I should get one.

Re: Do you disassemble your foilboard after each use?

Foil off the board (4 short bolts with a screw driver) and fuse off the mast (two M8 bolts with an allen key). Both parts go into foil bags and it all packs nicely into the car/house I get that people want to save time. Would be lovely to have a tool-less snap together system, but I can't say my lif...
