Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

@Felix, Seems you've opted to take the low road. Guess we're bumping along in the gutter now. Not really sure how my posts are BS. I probably know more than you think and I've actually been quite restrained with my postings. Sorry if all the probing questions on the E6 bugged you, but people know th...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

@Faxie - You obviously don't know how to get worked and thrash in the waves properly. Seriously: Almost all of my wrap issues have been during downwinders, looping the kite into the water and getting a lot of line slack, as I coast to a stop towards a downed kite. Earlier this year, I somehow manage...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Suggestion to calm things down... The forum moderator needs to change the name of this thread to: Switch Kites ARE Getting Better and Don't Dare Post Anything to Challenge That! @ The Motive comment - We could challenge the same back. Is your motive to negate, squash or marginalize any challenge or ...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

@naishdude & jakoblondal: Thanks for posting, but still can't tell if the bridle will slip over the wingtip.

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Peeps have been asking for bridle photos of the Element 7 on the Switch Forum, without any luck. Anyone think the bridle will wrap the wingtip? Since the E7 appears to be the Ikon Peak3, I'm thinking [pure speculation] it might... https://ikon-kiteboarding.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/PEAK-3-BRIDL...

Re: Choosing an Impact vest ?

Promotion, Hood River based, makes a nice zip-front vest with a Velcro waist. This allows a much better fit than a full-zip front.

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Re: Element What's in a name? Guess I have a problem with the new Element 6 being called an Element. Yes, I'll get over it, but what a missed opportunity to come up with a new name for the new all-around kite. Bills out. Ralph's out. Switch has started on a new path with the release of their first n...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Anyone think this is part of the Element6 bloodline? https://ikon-kiteboarding.com/product/peak-3/ And in the smaller E6 one-strut sizes... https://ikon-kiteboarding.com/product/peak-3xs/ Maybe Switch will derive a version of Ikon's Empire foil kite... Re: DIY onestrut kite

Here's a photo of the profiled zero/single-strut prototype Bill let me fly back in October, at Bodega Bay. I flew it both with and without the center strut. In the light and variable conditions we experienced that day, I liked it better with the strut installed, even at the small expense of slower t...
