Re: 2019 RPM's

Yeah they are hype merchants, rather than say "if its broke don't fix it" they have to invent buzz words for a graphics change. Contrary to a retailers "claim" that the kites are a size bigger, it looks like they are the same plan dimensions, same panel layout, same bridal attachment points. Can you...

Re: Ozone Edge for beginners

Hi Lopi, I got a 13m edge after flying various bows and bandits for a few seasons. I do like it very much but now I'm using a 5.6 SB more and dabbling in foilboard I need kites with a bit more drift and easy relaunch. The thing with an edge is I don't think it is a hard kite to fly at all, generates...

Re: selfish short term kite industry

The youth are all out doing wakeboarding or surfing, thats what I see where I am. Less kit, the possibility to hire boards/wetsuits for a few pounds. Im thankful the industry still has a business model that sell closeout at 30-40% in some cases. Surely the more older guys that take up the sport the ...

Re: Airush WTH are you thinking with the Union 4???

Considering they have come from 6 pulley's, there's a lot of slack to be taken up by the leading edge adapting to sheeting. I guess it's not an allrounder anymore.

Re: Core and German engineering meme

I don't think its unrealistic to expect certain pieces of equipment to last a lot longer than the 'seasonal assumptions' and 'wear an tear' attitudes. My ozone bar is from 2011 and still going strong for a weekend warrior. I have no doubt that core make good kites, excellent in some cases, but Germa...

Re: hydrofoil kite quiver ...

Im flying a 13m edge for learning to foil, I've tried it with 5m line extensions in wind under 11kts. I understand your frustrations as I swam a couple of times. Relaunch is my No.1 requirement now. Perhaps its as simple as waiting for a few more kts of wind for your 12m than spending a lot of money...

Re: Opinion on NP helmets

My "black carbon" NP helmet is a lot more stylish than the white gath helmet I used to have.....on the occasions I choose to wear it anyway. Using the medium, they are surprisingly roomy as I normally size as a large. The "black carbon" one from NP, does not differ in weight and protection compared...

Re: GoPro Fusion and Kitesurfing Videos, The Future of POV?

It gives the sensation like a drone in your hand. If that makes sense. Nice kite too!
