Re: Which wing size makes sense?

I wing on a non-mountanboard skateboard when it is cold and think the 4 meters is a good skateboard size.

Re: durability of wing boards

+1 for DW wing boards -- well into the second season on mine, and it's in perfect shape despite my use of a metal harness hook and throwing it in and out of my car with no board bag. The construction is the best I've ever seen.

Re: Wing thing any fun without proper waves?

Thanks for the answers! I'll give this thing a go! Do you think with some kite foil experience one could skip the first huge beginner board? I'd rather struggle a little in the beginning than have to buy a new board half way through the first season. I learned on a 90 liter board (I weigh 80 kg) af...

Re: single skin variable size kite Aeros S1 Duo

 :thumb: Reminds me of the windsurf sail that you can zip sections on/off. I love the idea but you just end up with multiple sail sizes that don't work very well. I'm guessing this wont be much different. The Delta3 Multisail: I had one of those sails --- bad memories. It totally sucked!!!

This looks quite cool. Is shipping to USA available?
I inquired today and was told that, unfortunately, they are not shipping to the US (the bar looks fabulous to me). Rainer, please change your mind and ship across the Atlantic!

Re: Foil covers

I've made foil covers out of ancient wetsuit sleeves or legs and shock cord -- a lot more protective than the ones that came with my Cloud9 foils, and really easy to make and use.

most visible board color?

I'm getting ready to order a pocket foilboard and would really appreciate the community's knowledge on what color is most visible in the water when you're looking for it after a crash -- in sun-close-to-the -horizon conditions, low light, lots of whitecaps, etc. (recognizing these might be different...

too light to drift downwind?

Yesterday I was foiling in about 12 knots with some downwind current and 2 foot wind chop. I have recently started using a much lighter 68cm mast and fuse (Project Cedrus http://www.bayareakiteboarding.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14778 ) with Cloud 9 S24 wings (same as Liquid Force impulse wings) ...

Re: BRM Clouds arbitrage opportunity

I think Greg does a great job of balancing R&D, stoke, customer service, and the need to make a living. If he sells kites to you, he takes that as a commitment to service those kites. If they get passed on to people in other countries or situations where he does not what to commit to his high level ...
