Re: Ocean Rodeo: The Next Gen Bars Are Here

How much money you have to spend to develop and then produce bar? They should cost $100-200. There is no rocket science when it comes to bar. They either take a piss or they expect to magically give 50-60% discounts on their bars.

Re: Beginner kite- Core XR5 or Naish Pivot

This smashing of new kite, what it is about? When you buy kite gear you should be after course and being able to start/land ride left and right. What sort of smashing of new kite you are talking about? I see guys hitting water with they kite when: a) they are taking first hours b) they are learning ...

Who would believe that changing logo can improve kite performance that much :D

Re: Gear advice - tyranny of choice

I'm 81kg. I have had a Shinn Monk (135x42) and a North (Duotone) Select (138x41). I preferred the Monk to the North Select because I found it handled chop better and was (surprisingly) quicker than the Select when you wound it up. Smaller board by definition will deal better with chop and will be q...

Re: Gear advice for 6’2” 210lb guy

It is a fair point that 5 strut kites are good in high wind/gusty condition. With enough power to fly small 5 strut kite I don't see benefit of using 3 or even 1 strut kite in winds 20kts+? Or maybe someone see benefit? For LW which for me is >20kts 3 or 1 strut kite bring benefit of lighted weight ...

Re: Gear advice for 6’2” 210lb guy

Yeah I think sb14m is for someone 210lbs+ rather than 200lbs where I could use LW kite instead. I’m definitely going for contra 15m next years as I love new colors of contra, autumn where I kite is primary 20kts+ hence will use mainly 10m sb. Bigger kites doesn’t interesting me as just going left an...

Re: Gear advice for 6’2” 210lb guy

I'm looking to upgrade my sb 14m 2017 to new Contra 15m. Currently have sb 10m which I really like in 20-30kts+ Do you think gap between 10m sb and 15m contra is too great? Currently 14m sb allows me to ride from 13/14-20kts and then I take 10m sb for 20-30kts+ If wind is changing I would change boa...

Re: Core and German engineering meme

As mentioned many times before, isn't it better to buy gear which has a good local support? Are core kite soooo much better to risk getting annoyed by small replacement parts which you can't buy locally?
