Re: Flysurfer Soul

Sorry that wasn't very clear. The wind stayed around 4-6 knots but I was able to achieve about 15 knots of board speed I reckon. I'd hate to be on the 21m in 15 knots of wind!

Re: Flysurfer Soul

I got to try the 21m Soul today in 4-6 knots. What a weapon! This is me filming my friend, I went out after him. I forgot to turn on my GPS but I reckon I hit 15 knots / 30 kph.

Re: Switch Element/Nitro Confusion on Bigger Air Kite

I read there's a new model out now, an open c shape which could be the go for big air and looping. I'd be giving that one a demo.

Re: Switch Element/Nitro Confusion on Bigger Air Kite

I had the 10m 12m and 14 nitro and upgraded the 12m to the latest version. Huge boosting kite. Not great for looping, too slow for my liking and they were built heavy which made light wind flying a chore. The newer version was lighter and slightly faster. I would have liked to try a 9m Nitro. I'd tr...

Re: Hyperlink 12m vs Soul 12m

I had the 9m Hyperlink and sold it to buy the 8m Soul and 12m Soul. I don't think you will regret either kite as they're both really good for your intended use. For me the relaunch and anti-drowning abilities of the Soul was an important factor against the Hyperlink. I also think the soul has some d...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

So I bought a 12m soul for lightwind foiling and yes it’s awesome and will get me going in 7/8 mph and it has great relaunching but and it’s a big BUT im overpowered at about 12mph on a foil board. I’ve tried different li...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

I've had my souls for about 3 months now. The kite loops are actually a bit powerful for my liking but I'm solving that by grabbing a steering line instead of turning the bar and doing a tighter / slightly back stalled loop. I like the bar pressure but cause I ride it foiling the kites are always in...

Re: Ozone kites 12m low end experience

I'm kiting since 2002/2003 , i owned many types of kites and boards during that time that i realized that sining up and down like crazy to get moving the lawn in LW with a fast kite and efficient board it's not fun anymore and takes me nowhere , i don't need the fastest kite out there for LW , i ne...

Re: Ozone kites 12m low end experience

Open c kites like the enduro, dice, fx need to be actively flown in light wind to generate power. People who say they have no low end are probably better suited to park and ride kites like the switchblade and rebel.

Re: PSA: CHECK YOUR HARNESS - Friend of mine got luck, really lucky

Dual compression straps are the best in my opinion. Spread load over 4 straps on one side instead of two, and if one webbing breaks you still have another webbing holding in place. The old Ride Engine webbing designs were flawed with that one thin webbing to hold down the spreader bar. All the weig...
