Re: Tuning an Ozone hyperlink

It would be worth closely inspecting every bridal and checking for any wear too. Especially where they pass through the pulleys

Re: Tuning an Ozone hyperlink

I thought you can download the bridal specs and measure them to see whether they are still the correct length.?

Re: Floatation/impact vest

A wetsuit and impact vest gives a lot of bouyancy but won't come near a proper lifejacket. I use an Ion vest always when twin tipping. I have a certified lifejacket (PFD 2) that I wear when I go offshore on my foil board. It is a fitted one that is typically used for jetskis and wakeboarding and fit...

Re: Heliloops turn into kiteloops

Good jumping technique is to redirect the kite forward again to soften your landing and ride out of it. This means your kite will usually be towards the edge of the wind window just before landing and if you throw a cheeky kiteloop in this position it wont generate too much power in the loop. If how...

Re: Quite quiver question, should I add a Core XR4/5 15m

Lol. My wife and I had 12 kites between us and 7 boards but that was stupid. Now down to 7 kites and 4 boards. It would be less but I also foil kite / board. Just packing our gear tonight for a kiting holiday and we are taking 4 kites and 2 boards which is a good indicator of what we truly need 8, 1...

Re: Board design -- also a boring question

ASP in NZ built me a custom board for $800 AUD. The first one was too thin and snapped but to their credit they replaced it with a thicker one. We spent a lot of time talking about riding styles and preferences, sizes etc before pulling the trigger. Really happy with the outcome. I got a 144 x 46cm...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Gen 5 Flite Review

Just sold mine but regrettably as they're a great kite. I had the 14.5m gen 5. Awesome on a foil board. With 27m lines and at 85kgs as long as the kite could stay in the sky (5-6 knots), I could foil. On a twintip i needed 10 knots to hold ground and 12-15 knots to have fun. Tried lots of different ...

Re: Which is your preferred trim system?

Id like to give the click bar another go. I have only used it for 30 mins and therefore didn't develop any muscle memory. I remember that it took too long to depower and I was struggling to dial in how many turns to get the desired level of depower but the release was quick. I'm sure you'd get the h...
