Re: Pansh Aurora II 10m - one item off bucket list

I got to setup the Aurora II 10m but not enough wind to fly (maybe 5-6 mph). Did start to launch during gust of 7-8 mph!!! Did get to check bridles and they looked ok to me -- nothing seemed crossed! Also got to check out my mutant bar with 18m lines and sfr system. Hopefully soon in the air!!! Stil...

Re: Pansh Aurora II 10m - one item off bucket list

Interesting comments on "braking"! I learned early on in kiting to have a little oversheeting on inflatable kites. This allows a bit of stalling when on waves to allow more "drift". So my bars are setup with about an inch (2-3 cm) of backstall. Good to know about the advantage on foils. It may be th...

Re: Pansh Aurora II 10m - one item off bucket list

Thanks for response. Assuming 5 cm is approximately 2 inches, it takes at least 15 cm (6 inches) of trim to have equal lines when bar pulled to CL. That would REALLY be backstalled! Mainly wanted confirmation that the lines should be about equal, and that the bridle setup does not require significan...

Pansh Aurora II 10m - one item off bucket list

IMG_20180111_120055509_HDR.jpg I took advantage of the Pansh 1/2 off prices to get an Aurora II 10m. New to foils but kiting since 2003 - all open ocean. I'll give updates - if I live through this!! Some early observations now and pictures to come (seem to be having trouble loading pics - maybe fil...

Re: The Pansh A15, an A18 review

Thanks Kykeon. Have or can handle the pigtails. What do you recommend the connection be? Should pigtails be loop to loop on kite leaders with knots on ends? Then use loops on ends of bar lines? Or ?? Thanks again.

Re: The Pansh A15, an A18 review

Got the Pansh Aurora 2 in 10 m. It came ready to fly. Want to use a dedicated 4 line bar with front line safety and 22m lines instead. Like to get comments about what attachments to use to kite leaders. My bar has typical loops on outside lines and knots on front lines. Concerned about how thin and ...

Re: Risk vs reward... learning and progression at 40

"You'll have to find your personal limits. Be smart, prepare, Think. Work out. Do progressions. Learn to hear what your body is saying to you." Very good summation from Tom......and comments from many others!! And I would add to KEEP MOVING! We are made for that. Better to enjoy to the best of your ...
