Re: Kites...Made in USA????

So what you want is for American kiters to buy kites made in the USA, German kiters buy German kites, French kiters buy French kites, Brazilian kiters buy Brazilian kites, etc.? How efficient is that for a group as small as we are? The Chinese make great kites. As it is, many of the kite companies a...

Re: Durango in town kiting?

Next to the Airpark? You mean airport? Huh? Seriously? I'm heading to Durango tomorrow. Should I bring my gear? How do I get to this spot?

Thanks.

Cabrinha Sync Backless Binding with different footpad?

The new Cabrinha Sync backless bindings look like something that I would like, except that I like super cushy footpads like the Liquid Force pads. Any chance of using the Sync straps with the Liquid Force pads? Or is there another system out there that would offer a similar combo? I know that some p...

Re: Tear-Aid: why not Type A only?

as far as I know type A is for bladders. I always used tupe A for bladder repairs. Well, that's what I was hoping to hear. But it's not the way the two types are generally described... http://www.kitesurfari.com/store/repair.html It would be much simpler and cheaper if Type-A could repair rips in t...

Which Nano to go with Thruster 12m?

Which Nano would be best when the wind gets too strong for my '07 12m Thruster? I would assume the 9m, but I've seen Dimitri list wind ranges for that kite that seem to match the 12m Thruster. So could I skip all the way to the 6m Nano? Or would that leave a gaping hole in my quiver?

Thanks.

Tear-Aid: why not Type A only?

I needed to repair a big hole in my leading edge bladder, but my "type B" Tear-Aid patches that are supposedly meant for the bladder were too narrow, whereas my "type A" patches meant for the canopy were plenty big. Went ahead and used the "type A", and it seems to be holding up, but haven't taken i...

Re: Newbie in Virginia Beach, VA.

Use anyone other than Real for lessons and gear. They are more in the business of litigation these days and less about kiteboarding. They deserve anything bad that can happen due to their ruthless tactics in the name of competition. I think that's a bit severe. Not sure of all the details of the la...

Re: Newbie in Virginia Beach, VA.

there isn't any beach on their property or anybody elses...everything is bulkheaded. Does that pose a problem or can you set up from the water? Hi Clint. That does pose a problem - especially when you're learning. If that's a place where you have family, and you'll be visiting it frequently, then e...
