Re: 12 years kiting- pushed the button on first new kites today

I'm still riding 2010 gear. My kite no longer casts a shadow.

Re: Ram Airs crash in 2014

PMU's posts do far more for the promotion and awareness of foil kites than anything else I've seen on the web.

He posts unabomber-style rants, foil owners and enthusiasts respond like normal human beings - I think this is actually reverse trolling to promote foil kites.

Re: Do you log your sessions?

Yes, using Endomondo. It's a decent app for biking, jogging, or anything else that lets you carry a mobile device around with you while you do something active. Re: Do Kites Fly Better with Strut Vavles Closed?

Re: nightmare situation wrapped in someone else's lines

The extra effort to cut a line with a single bladed knife vs. the double blade one is significant.

No single-blade knives should be sold or carried, they're just a false sense of security.

Impressive! I wonder what the quads feel like after that.

Also reminds me that we're due for another "do you piss in your wetsuit" thread.

Re: Maui, Kanaha a shark attacked a unmanned kiteboard

The odds are you're never going to get bitten (tested) by a shark, die in a terrorist attack, or get struck by lightning. These things capture the imagination because they're brutally dramatic and violent events. You're much more likely to get mangled in a traffic accident, but you don't stay up nig...
