Re: Duotone Rebel 2019

Do the 2018-2019s fly on any 4-line bar or do north kites still fly better on a bar with a high V?

Re: is super light wind the promised land?!

I think you should be able to tell how low the wind is from the apparent wind angles if you know your board speed upwind ( https://www.hydesailsdirect.com/Articles.asp?ID=278 ). If you are staying upwind at all, I think the wind has to be at least 5 knots, regardless of what kite and foil you are on...

That's a good one!

This was a 50 mile session in a narrow deep channel:

Re: Flysurfer Sonic FR 15 Meter Tip Fold Problem Solved

I am just going to correct you on what was posted Oh yeah, good point he did say he lengthened z, not shortened. I also see your point that lengthening A only has the same effect when the bar is pulled in, then the change is different due to the depower ratios. It did work to stop all tip tuck issu...

Re: Flysurfer Sonic FR 15 Meter Tip Fold Problem Solved

Sounds like problem is not solved. I (and I think everyone with a sonic fr 15m) also had tip tuck issues. Mine was solved completely by lengthening the A mains by ~75mm using a pigtail. There is a post above about sonic fr 11m with the same issue where shortening b, c, and z solved it (same effect a...

Re: Sonic FR 11 Long Mixer Test

Now I have ended up at: a1(0), b1(80mm shorter), c1(60mm shorter), br1(150mm longer). I have pretty much run out of adjustment on C-Main, so I suspect the C pulley will be running up against the knot in C-Pulleyline with my bar pushed away; but for the kite to be so much more usable its worth it to...

Re: Sonic FR 11 Long Mixer Test

What are the measurements in your first 4 columns of the first table? Are they from the pigtails to the kite or from the top of theixer to the kite? Also, I'd like to do this in a clean way that won't cause tangles if possible. On my sonic fr 15m. I added a pigtail made of q-power line just above th...

Re: World kite championships 2018

Even with the small fleets they seem to have lots of problems when reaching first mark, lots of tangles and protests Yeah, I did hear there were a lot of protests. I think this was due to the short course. It sounds like most racers don't want the short course, but they are doing it to look better ...

Re: Is a Flysurfer Soul 18m too much for hydrofoil in light wind?

Glad you like the 15m! I agree with previous comments that it depends on your style and what foil you are riding. Recently I was riding my race foil with minimal power on my 11m Sonic 2. Then switched to my buddy's Slingshot H2 (giant wing). Even though I had been fine with 11m on my race foil, I co...

Re: F one Diablo V1 12m

The Diablo V1's were very good kites. They are now 3 or 4 years old though, so depends on how much it has been used and if the owner has kept up with tuning the stretching/shrinking bridles. How much are they asking? Should be around $500-$700 in the US. I never had a Diablo V1, but I remember someo...
