Another safety tip that might have helped: When I am holding a kite for a launch, I never let go until I can see all four lines going straight to the right parts of their bar. Even if the kiter gives the thumbs up, I make sure first. My check has caught rigging problems more than once! Chris G <font...

I know nothing about these kites.

But I bothers me when someone posts a brief anonymous message with no explanation. Has this poster ever tried or even seen these kites?

Please, we would all appreciate any useful information along with an explanation of how you formed your opinion.

I use my Slingshot cuff bindings with booties almost all the time. (Hey it's cold here in Canada). They work fine. Just set your footrap adjustment screw holes to accomodate them.

Most packaged line sets from Naish, Slingshot, etc. will be fine. They usually use braided spectra with about a 500lb rating.
A cheaper way to go is to buy a roll of Q powerline. Buy the 500 ft roll of 500 lb line and just cut your own lines.

Here is an excellent description of backloop technique which I have copied from the yahoo kitesurf group: ************************************* From: "Gurpreet Pandher" <gkpandher@tinyonline.co.uk> Date: Mon Feb 11, 2002 3:44 pm Subject: RE: [ksurf] Move/Trick Discussions Here's what I wrote on back...

I have collected some very short video clips (only a few seconds each) of back loops, forward loops, and spins. These clips are useful if you are trying to learn these moves.

Sounds like a bad idea to me. When you are airborn and lose your board, it should be very far away from you when you land. Landing on your board can be painful.

We just had a discussion thread on this. Do a search (click on Search at the upper right of this screen) for REEL Leash experiences.

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.
Good work Wolfgang. I like it.

This looks like it is not prone to tangles and is better than any scheme where a stopper is tied on the line with a knot. (knots weaken and shorten the line).
