Re: The stagnant foiler.

Haha. Yeah that's me. I'm at my happiest when it's full on. So I will always take the full on option if it's available.

I will explore the bigger wing idea though. Maybe not a full fat sup wing. But a higher aspect larger wing that will be good at speed but lenc it's self the a bit more stability

Re: The stagnant foiler.

There are people who are deeply passionate about long distance kayaking who never learn anything more advanced than how to dip their paddle into the water and propel themselves forward. Sounds like the stagnation is in your mind, not in foiling. If you want to someday beat Nico around the race cour...

Re: how important is pre-inflation?

It's not. Launch and inflate. Hold bar press on while it's inflating.

Re: The stagnant foiler.

My take on this, and most things: Too much thinking. Not enough kiting. Get out there and do it. You'll get better at the things you can already do. Maybe learn some new things. Maybe nail something you've been trying for ages. Either way you've had some exercise. Maybe had some fun. Exposed yourse...

Re: The stagnant foiler.

Plummet: I feel like I'm not getting enough practice time to progress Also Plummet: I ride my mountain bike whenever it's ideal light wind foil conditions where I could actually learn foiling transitions. This is true. I'm not interested with light wind kiting anymore. Ie sub 12 knots. Mounta...

Re: Poll: Underpowered or Overpowered

The more interesting stat is that TT represents 53%, foil 25%, SB 21%.

Re: The stagnant foiler.

Also, good reply's I think I am a little bit of what everyone suggests. Taut, I refuse to evoke the spreadsheet. That just creates another nonfun job. Yes, I am stagnant of the TT too... But at a lot higher more fun level. I don't actually need or want to progress on the TT skill wise other than rid...

The stagnant foiler.

Well I've been foiling for almost 2 years. The first 6 months allowed for reasonable progression as I was out most weeks. Then a job/career change meant I wasn't able to kite mid week anymore. So I became a weekend warrior. Splitting sessions foil and mutant on the weekend depending on conditions me...

Re: Poll: Underpowered or Overpowered

Give me power any day.

But also give me more wind!. I can be powered to all hell in 15 knot on the 12m on the foil. But stuff that, give me 30 knots any day!
