what was the windsurf boards measurements (especially the width) before the cut and after? The original windsurfing board was about 8 feet long then i cut it down to 5'8" ish. I took and old windsurfing board (around late 1980s) and cut it up into a freerace kiteboard similar to the airush sector v3 60. I built a board similar to the airush sector V3 60 by chopping up an old windsurfing board. You should look into using these chinook fin boxes http://www.windance.com/Chinook-Fin-Box.html they are really cheap and easy to install, and are used for a US type fin.
