Re: How often do you swim in @ <10knots ?

After a few long swims if your kite still ends up in the drink then your LW kite is not really for LW, or your need to improve your LW skills or you really like swimming. Imho a 80ish kg rider needs a 10-12m2 foil kite for LW foiling. You rig bigger and will be overpowered easily but for racers its ...

Re: Board Build #2

Nice build please report back how it holds up! Why did you use basalt glass? Just for the looks or any added strength, stiffness, etc?

Did you get to fly the FreeRS ?
Not yet... I will have less time for kiting during the next weeks but will give my input as soon as I tried it!

Re: Foot Straps

I adjusted my straps really loose to avoid my feet jamming during crashes. I think you don't need tight straps except if you race, even jumping are not an issue with really loose straps. I use Dakine/Ion windsurf straps.

Re: Hand-held vacuum cleaner for inflation

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to foils. (Thanks for the sarcasm Rufusz, I guess you were born expert) Flying them is ok but launching, especially if the wind is low, is my biggest challenge. If the kite is inflated it gets much easier. (sometimes it gets inflated after failed launch attempts)...

Re: Hand-held vacuum cleaner for inflation

Perfect example of 1st world problem ;)

Once I saw a guy inflating a 21m2 FS speed with a similar gadget. I'm sure he had board leash as well, an other must have accessory ;)

Sorry about your loss... have you tried to contact the local kite school Water Donkey? If not it worth a shot they are nice guys with usually 3-4 speedboats on the water during lessons.

Re: Moses 550 wing and 325 Stabilizer review

... But yes, the 101 mast is a very good upgrade overall, even in flat water, but you will feel everything will become abit less responsive compared to the 93. The setup i ride more is 101 mast + 550 + 330. Does the mast effect the top speed? Is the 101 faster? I know it mainly depends on the wings...

Re: Has anyone gone totally hydrofoil?

... So it looks like rather a normal evolution path for old boys ;) Come on I don't consider myself as 'old boy' and my TT is collecting dust this season. Mastering tacks, turns, big airs, etc on foil will take me a lifetime ;) Off topic but does a flat or concave deck makes a huge different on pro...
