What is "speed riding"
Probably Speed Flying which is a version of paragliding that mimics wingsuits (or I should say wingsuits mimic it). Often done on snow skis.

Re: 2018 Naish Boxer 14/16m Wind Range/Weight

For weight the only company that I know of that publishes weight specs for their kites are Airush for the Ultra. For wind range, it'll be the same as any of the other medium aspect LEI kites that your used to. Once you start talking about a 16m kite for foiling though it's more about how low can the...

Re: Fatality in France

the wind speed would go from 30-50 knots. WOW, I do not know how anyone could ride in those conditions. Remember that the force of the wind is exponential to the wind speed. How do you see the gusts coming in the surf? You simply rig for the gusts and work the kite to generate it's own power in lul...

Re: Fatality in France

40 knots? No. Something over 25 knots is good. I would say 30 knots is just about perfect with a 5m kite. Over 35 knots it's too windy to ride waves wth any kind of control. People are talking like the wind is steady and doesn't ramp up and down during a session. When people say the wind was 40 kno...

Re: Fatality in France

Simple question: is it worth putting up that risk for a fighting, cold and no tricks session in 40 knots, where the chance of an injury or even fatality is pretty high? Or just stay home and wait for the next good and fun session? Toby a lot of people don't live in Brazil and don't have access to g...

Re: Nick Jacobsen leaves Cabrinha team

where did they say they have 2019 products? They only said that they will introduce their products in 2019. Danish daredevil Jacobsen, who jumped off of one of the tallest hotels in the world on his kite will become Team Manager for the North brand. Nick will be scouting for riders with talent, as ...

Re: Who ride with sunglasses, and where?

This is due to the earth's atmosphere protecting your eyes at higher latitudes. Because once you are outside of the tropics the sun is no longer ever directly over your head the solar radiation now has to travel through move of our atmosphere because it's travelling a farther distance through the sp...

Re: Nick Jacobsen leaves Cabrinha team

North Technology Group is the owner of the North trademark and take over the brand North. Guys, where have you been the last months ? So many discussions about this since months on here...use the search for more info. My point was NTG says they have 2019 products ... well we are less than 30 days a...
