Re: Impending trade war: Tariffs affecting the kite industry?

Is one of our US forum members already stocking kites in his/her garage? Or setting up a US kitefactory? The latter seems like the right thing to do. This is only the first term of Trump. Still years to come to benefit from this administration with a made in the US kite factory.. Some regions with u...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

Nice bar. I do not understand why you would opt for this depower setup. You must kite in an area that doesn't have frequent fluctuations in windspeed in the range of 5 knots up and down... Of course you could handle that with bar throw, but that is IMHO not the preferred option with respect to your ...

Re: Impending trade war: Tariffs affecting the kite industry?

China and EU don't want the trade war Trump is so eager to start. The only way of influencing this guy seems to be via his voters... I’m guessing you’re pretty confident that you have unbiased sources upon which you base your assertions, and that you’re pretty confident you’re right. You speak as i...

Re: 11 or 12?

11. Absolutely positevily 11. For my 200 lbs the 9 is the best boosting kite and 11 is the regular. 12s are kind of slow... 14 worked for me in 10-16 knots 11 is the best from 14-22 knots 15 was my lightwind kite to cover 7-15 knots using TT/door and short/long lines to cover the range What’s your ...

Re: Impending trade war: Tariffs affecting the kite industry?

......Trump’s plan is to empower smaller companies like kite companies that are run more like a family business than big draconian global corporations. It’s GOOD NEWS! Not war news 🙄 ????? Tell that to America's small farmers. Of course Trumps voting base is targeted first by the Chinese and EU cou...

http://www.kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2388644&p=970465&hilit=struts+removed#p970465 some people have been experimenting with that a bit... Testing with struts deflated indeed tells you something but not all... Leaving the tip struts in place is maybe a good idea in terms of time investment v...

Re: Converting Core bar in to a race bar...How?

It is not that hard to splice lines yourself. The tools cost next to nothing and having the material at hand gives you the flexibility to tweak your setup to your liking...
Can recommend it...

Re: North & Duotone - Your Questions Answered by CEO Till Eberle

Why do you guys assume Cabrinha clients won't buy ion if they find out the brand has some relation with another brand North/Duodenum?

Brand loyalty is not a religion? Is it?

Re: Free prizes in exchange for some of your time - outside industry research

Did the survey..
Luckily it was possible to skip questions if none of the answers applied..

I really wonder how you can get meaningful information out of such a survey (coming from a scientific background)...
