Re: Advice from an older married kiter to a young one

I know some very nice, gentlemen like Russians.
Let's not generalize too much... Toby doesn't like that. ;-)

Re: Advice from an older married kiter to a young one

I instructed my daughters myself and kept them safe. Always distance... My girlfriend took lessons resulting in tangled kites and injury to the hand due to snapped leash. IMHO the commercial interests of the kiteschool jeopardized safety. Too crowded spot... most kiteschools did like hers... don't s...

Good idea indeed. Borrowed from Evan. But he will certainly not have been the first/only one that came up with this idea....

Re: Bar questions Cabrinha and Ozone

Yeah that makes more sense. Can you still feed the brummel splice ok with a knot in the loop or does that part not need to go through the line anyway? Also, what diametre dyneema rope is best? Q1: Yes you could. And no it doesn't need to go through if you do the side with the knot first. Q2: I use ...

Ive a friend with a FRS 12m, and my R1V2 11m on 15m lines starts earlier and has more power then the FRS 12m on 21m lines. The FRS its a easy kite, but it doesnt excel anywhere.
Doesn't it excel in ease of use?

Re: Deal on Airush ultra vs. Naish Boxer

Thanks for all the (sometimes elaborate) but al useful replies and considerations. Keep it coming.. The increased durability due to load frame speaks in favour of the Ultra. With respect to absolute low end I also believe ultra would be the better choice. In my case two daughters would use these kit...

Re: Bar questions Cabrinha and Ozone

Do yourself a favour and buy or make a splicing needle and some dyneema.. I make adjustable pigtails myself. This could easily be used to compensate for a 15 cm line difference. I can shift the knot to change line length relative to each other see foto. The loops are spliced without stitching. IMG_2...

Deal on Airush ultra vs. Naish Boxer

9m Naish boxer '17/'18 for 620€ new or Ultra V2 in 9m for 830€ also new. What is the better deal? Based on enthusiasm on this forum I would say Ultra is the better kite in this one strut segment. But is it 33% better? The smaller sized ultra v2 is said to be very similar as thr V1 Did anyone have se...

Re: Surf Foils for Kiteboarding?

Unfortunately I haven't seen same foil wing in different sizes available yet but it'll come when manufacturers settle experimenting with geometry. By then we all might be riding monofoil/stabless with swept back wing attached directly to the mast :) Gong G10 wings and stabs come in three sizes. If ...
