Re: What is considered to be a big or small Board size for hydrofoiling

Pitbulldoug , thanks a lot for your tips , it is always good to hear from a person of my weight . 5.11 is quite a good size , I guess I'll have to find a way to rent one or to modify one of my boards (I don't feel like to hurt my boards ...) to be able to compare for myself . Onshore winds is a diff...

Re: What is considered to be a big or small Board size for hydrofoiling

Kamikuza , my mistake , this is an Axis Ride 145/48 .Lift is not a tuttle . I have no clue what is the wing size and don't know how to measure it . I don't feel this board is small , I only wanted to know what would do a bigger board in light air and what people are using for their weight . My kites...

What is considered to be a big or small Board size for hydrofoiling

Hi ! I begun hydrofoiling lately and I always wondered how it would be to have a bigger board for light wind , I'm 220 pounds all wet and I currently use an Axis Ride 145/48 with 2013 Lift foil . So my question is : What is considered to be a small or big board for Hydrofoiling . Is a 148 considered...

Re: Ozone Hyperlink 15 ?

The Soul and the Hyperlink are two completely different kites. Ah ok, thought Hyperlink and Soul are both classified as Freeride kites, while Chrono v3 is a Freerace, isn't it? Did I miss something here? Earlybird wants a kite with simple bridles and an open cell option. The Soul does not fullfill ...

Re: Ozone Hyperlink 15 ?

kitexpert , I have never seen a Soul in my area . You seem to be convinced they are way better than HL , are you affiliated ??? I thought the Soul was more comparable to the Chronos V2 or V3 . I'm open to demo a Soul but I can't see where and when I will get this opportunity . Ozone is about the onl...

Re: Ozone Hyperlink 15 ?

Gunnar , I had a V2 and this was a very good kite , have not tried the V3 yet, the thing is I really enjoy the simplicity of the Hyperlink and for snow the open cell is a plus . When I switch from my R1V2 to the Hyperlink I really enjoy the small amount and shorts bridles and I wish I had a HP 15 .

Ozone Hyperlink 15 ?

I'm looking for a 15 meters and since I like my Hyperlink UL 12 so much I thought : How about an Hyperlink UL 15 or 15.5 ?
This could be interesting , anyone ever heard about Ozone going this way ?

Re: light wind surfboard vs foil board

I know I'm a little off the title but for me , I would pick a Freerace board instead of a surfboard for light wind , I ride a Sector 60 and this is a very good compromise . Gets on a plane in light wind with a 17 Chrono , Good speed , goes upwind decently , jibes and play in the small chop very good...
