Re: New snowkite board Rocks!

I've had my Twisted Velocity for a couple of weeks now and finally had the opportunity to use it today for about 4 hrs. Conditions where 10-15" of fresh powder over a frozen lake. I was on my 12m Havoc 2 and I'm tip the scale at about 225 lbs. I have the board mounted with switch step-ins and I ride...

no one said that every event in the world needs to take care of those rules. But when we are talking about who is the best freestyler, racer, whatever in the world, we should have a set of rules that work.

Just have a look at it when it comes out and lets discuss it.
Will do.

Re: Kiteboarding Rules development

As somebody who is jointly responsible for overseeing the rules of a race series that travels around to different venues I don't really see the need. Overall the rules are pretty basic and stay the same from venue to venue but some of them need to be adjusted per venue or conditions, just compare St...

Re: Twisted Velocity VS Nobile Remi and Flow Bindings?

I received my Twisted today and I'm pretty excited to try it out. Unfortunately it may be a couple of weeks before I get the chance to use it. The shape makes sense for snowkiting or deep powder backcountry snowboarding. Lib Tech makes a similar shaped board called the Banana Hammock and the reviewe...

Re: Liquid Force 2009 Recoil vs Recoil Comp?

I have a 2009 Recoil 136 and feel it is significantly better than the 2007 I came off of. You ask what does the new Recoil do better? Well it does everything better, it is faster, smoother in chop, lands softer, and has more pop. When you compare the boards side by side there are several notiable di...

Re: Replace strap for 07 Liquid Force Luxury harness?

I opened up the ends and reused them in the new strapes. I had access to a sewing machine and it was real easy to make the new ones.

Re: Replace strap for 07 Liquid Force Luxury harness?

I recently had to replace mine and made them myself. I brought the old strap in with me to the local fabric store and they had the same thickness and width available by the foot. It cost me $7.00 for 5 ft. and I cut an sewed them up the same as the originals. It was real easy and took less then 20 m...

Re: a real eye opener!

PS...just got a call from a friend (expert kiter) who had a near kitemare yesterday, caught in 10-15' sets, lost his board, some line tangle issues, cold water (Lake Huron), 30+ kt winds, had to QR and tried to swim to no avail, caught in vicious rip current, pinning him in the wash cycle, making n...

Re: florida accident on good morning america

The old saying " A few sour apples can spoil the bunch " comes to mind after that one. With the publicity this guys is getting all I can say is good luck keeping access to your beaches in Florida. Kudos to the weatherman for his reaction and tutorial on why you should not be out in a tropical storm.

Re: We are not vessels

I've been busy trying to deal with a bunch of accidents down here and need to get back into it. Just checking back, do people now acknowledge we're defined as vessels despite the bizarre invective or are we still pretending we're not? If the answer is no, there is seriously depressing news on the w...
