Re: Waiting for the goldilocks zone learn hf

It seem to be the perfect conditions to remove both wings of the HF to first learn part of the waterstart (to cross the shore break and ride a bit before being completely exhaustred and to save repeated wings shocks with the ground)... Agree, never tried it myself, but heard from somebody else and ...

Re: ballerina training!

Very nice Steph, thanks for sharing. :D Never seen a girl that brave on hydrofoil. Tried those 360 spins and no-footer also a few times but didn't get it, seems to be very difficult. Is there any pre maneuver you would advise before trying the no footers (double footslide or how you would call it?) ...

Re: Ram air kites don't relaunch

@alexrider: Thanks for the secound video from Bubi and Armin, was looking for it but didn't find it. The speed 1 was already pretty good doing this, tried it myself in 2006. But I think under our conditions with less than 10 knts would have been difficult, not just because of the lack of Lotus fabri...

Re: Launching Foil Kites from deep water (with Sonic2)

Simple, foil kites are too hard for them :-) and they don't believe anyone that is better than them. Ah ok, I see, stories before I come to kiteforum. :-) I have translated the résumé of the newer German version, see links in the first posting, as maybe interesting and otherwise somebody might thin...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

A bit new experiences with the monofoil: 1. Even if it requires a bit more a bigger board that floats itself, than a normal foil, as it is more difficult to go directly into foil flight, it is possible to use smaller boards. :) Tested down to around 110 x 43 cm till now. Although changing foot posit...

Wait till Pullstrings or PMU hear that. It's one of the many things I have said that made their heads spin.
Hi, don't really understand. Why do their heads spin and can we help them to stop it, before anybody they get hurt? :(

Re: Launching Foil Kites from deep water (with Sonic2)

Hi evan and Mossy 757, it is no problem to packdown in a lull, wait or swim around and then, when the wind is back, to launch again. I have launched again after packing more then 10 times. I would not go distance as shown here: http://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=196&t=2392343&start=30 if I wouldn'...

Launching Foil Kites from deep water (with Sonic2)

Hi everybody, if some of you have the same problems like me, having great places for kiting around, but no kite spots to launch, this might be interesting for you: We have done a how to video about launching in the deep water. Done with the new Flysurfer Sonic2 in 9 m² and the Speed 4 Lotus in 10 m²...

Re: Litewave Twin-Tip Hydrofoil.

A rounded stern does not a bidirectional sailboat make. Notice how the tack of the sail is attached to the bow? Yeah... @Mossy 757: As you see, better first have a clear look, then answer :naughty: @Hawaiis: Thanks, for the nice explaining video :thumb: I think the proa develops its elegance more o...

Re: Litewave Twin-Tip Hydrofoil.

....Have you ever seen a twin tip sailboat? ... Oh YES indeed and not just one! There is a whole sail boot category of many types, which don't jibe, but go back and forward. They are the highest performance sail boots of their time, invented and designed by the masters of the sea, who also invented...
