Re: first 360 hydrofoil from Marc blanc !

Also not so bad names... When I thougt about it ... "Galactical" ... comes to my mind... Why? As it is made of some wide spread levitating objects that are turning fast around each other and nobody really knows how the physics of it really works ... (to be more precise: Most kiters don't know and in...

Re: first 360 hydrofoil from Marc blanc !

.. It still needs some more practice or/and better gear that true foiling is done (on the video the board touches down). ... Not to much practice at all! I think my third try has been successful and maybe already a bit better than Marcs (I hope it will be on a video made from a floating camera, Mis...

Re: Hydrofoil Action shots - post them here!

Just to prevent the topic wont get lost. Nothing special just used the line cam since long on a difficult low to high wind session with the 6 m.

Cruising with other boots, high jumps, 360s and the caneri-man is getting better but not yet as nice as the original

Re: first 360 hydrofoil from Marc blanc !

... Peter, why do you omit snowkiters where 360 / deadman's turn and "super-wind-window turns" have been made for ages similar to kitebuggy.. Sorry for being a bit touchy on this. Respect, especially for the, I would guess, not so easy conditions for a 360. I tried it many years ago on a snowboard ...

Re: Full speed crash

.. I don't get how crashing with a seat harness transfers load to your back though. Seems difficult to land on your back with your body bent over. Then even if you did, the kite is pulling on yor harness and the harness would catch the water, and wouldn't really mess with your back I would think? j...

Re: Brunotti Twintip Hydrofoil

Nice to see, that someone starts with twintip-foils and additionally with the combination of iSup and foil. I would be very interested how they solved the connection which is difficult to make well and stiff all the way from the foil to the straps. I think this part can be something that has future ...

Re: Wakeskate Hydrofoil - Awesome riding!

Hey guys, There haven't been too many people that have posted up their DIY boards for foils, so I thought id share my project of mounting up an old Hyperlite wakeskate to my LF Foil. Got the idea from watching the French Horue guys and Greg from BRM and his minimilast board. I started on the Foil F...

Re: Water launching Sonics, any success?

No beach, No boat needed! You may arm, disarm, rearm … your Flysurfer kite as often you want on the water with just the help of your board. I have done this approxi. 100 times and also with the Sonics much more than 10 times. But you will need: - A good preparation of your equipment - Some experien...

Re: Any of you hydrofoil freaks doing distance runs?

Another "distance" run of 32 km back and return. Didn't made the last 4 km till the north end of the in total 20 km long lake, as it was a bit boring and risky with the wind on the end. (Hope it counts anyway  ) The only thing that kept me up the last km was to overtake the local police-boat :...
