Re: One strut kites - which the lightest of them all?

So the ideal database would have weight and measured area of each kite? Projected area is tougher to measure, so we just have to take the manufacturers' word for it?

Re: One strut kites - which the lightest of them all?

Back to the original post, can we get weights for all these kites? Maybe add Airush Lithum One kites? Maybe add BRM, Voyager, and Gong strutless? Maybe even add light-wind-specific three strut, like OR Flite? But let's stick to weights instead of arguing about our favorites. I would love a true refe...

Re: light wind foiling pansh aurora 12m ul or ozone hyperlink ul

Lots of decent looking used foil kites, by ozone, flysurfer. Even a few from Elf, and peter Lynn. http://c.ikitesurf.com/classifieds?search=search&type=4&location=all&c_states=all&price=all&brand=all&year=all&size=all&sortby=date&views=all&page=1&orderby=dsc&expires=0&favourite=0&wanted=0&terms=all&...

Re: light wind foiling pansh aurora 12m ul or ozone hyperlink ul

Cost-no-object, I would love to try a hyperlink. I would also love to see a side-by-side comparison of the hyperlink and a concept air pulsion. I would look for used foil kites before buying a new pansh. Disclaimer, I have never owned any of these kites, I've just been reading every forum post for 2...

Re: Why pro-riders move the hip forwards?

Maybe wrong question? Maybe their hips aren't forward. Maybe their torsos are leaned back.

Maybe their legs and foot straps are just where they want them, but because of the relatively lower speeds going upwind they need less front foot pressure, so they lean their torsos back to compensate?

Re: Spitfire club

Spitfire has been out for vet a year now? I'm shocked no other manufacturer has a canard foil in production. I'm shocked no one has tried a canard SUP/Surf foil (especially since everyone likes the XLW wings better on the spitfire! Just keep going in that direction!) If the biggest knock on the spit...

Re: Do I bother to get a 60cm mast?

I also have about 12 hours on a foil. I am still on the 60 cm mast from the hover glide flight school package. I have thought about going up to the next length mast, but the standup paddle foilers make it look so much fun on 60 cm, and I don't feel that the length is limiting me at all yet. I don't ...

Re: hydrofoil at max speed limit

Why do you omit most obvious speed limitation at higher range? Rider's body is a great drag source limiting speed. Rider drag => effectively like turning upwind in regards to kite => pushing kite to window edge => reducing power from kite. This is clearly visible in ice speed records (~120km/h) wit...
