Sand / water / aqua socks to wear inside boots

Looking for advice on the thinnest pair of water / sand socks that will fit inside a Ronix one boot, and offer some foot protection. I don't want them, but only a matter of time until I have to navigate ragged rocks and barnacles after a technical failure or twisted kite. I do have a little pouch I ...

Re: Eleveight FS Review

Update. This kite boosts! First time on the FS09 I broke my height record, 37.5 feet in 25g30. Prior record (other than FS12) was 28 ft on Liquid Force NV07 in 30G35. That's basically 35% more air in 20% less wind. Ridiculous. It did stall once, but completely my fault, swung way underneath and land...

Re: Trace errors compared to Woo

Next time out I’m going to do a Trace vs Xensr Sessions Apple Watch...just to prove that none of them agree... Awesome, please do! Answering prior questions... I have no experience with the Xensr other than being on their to be shipped list for 4 months, then I cancelled the order. Would love to se...

Cumberland Island GA

18 miles of uninhabited beach on the east coast. Trying to find anyone who has kitesurfed there and can provide some guidance. Here are my thoughts. Thx 1) Jetties - North side, wind from S to NE with outgoing tide on could provide some flat water 2) Stafford shoals - some waves break 200 yards+, co...

Re: Trace errors compared to Woo

While grabbing my coffee this morning in the south bay i met a guy Geoff that works for Intel and knew all about sensers for kitesurfing. he said they did some testing of all the devices and trace ranked the worst in jump heights, pique was better but not by much, woo was pretty good but its jump h...

Re: Trace errors compared to Woo

Given that they're based principally on accelerometers I doubt they will ever be particularly accurate. It's actually all quite technically feasible and practical these days. Physics and maths, well established fields that have been solved since before slide rules were a thing. Look at a chip like ...

Re: Trace errors compared to Woo

@deniska wow, everything you said matches my experience. i seem to have hit a height ceiling of 27.8 feet, even though some of those jumps felt higher than others. makes perfect sense they put some type of cut off. one day with woo (and new kite) and it says im breaking 30. @iverj dont have gopro, w...

Re: Eleveight FS Review

Alright... 2nd time on the kite and I just broke my height record in comparatively low wind... BOOM! On FS 12M in 19 knots gusting to 21; with wave kicker made it slightly over 30 ft. I could have handled a lot more wind, maybe 25 knots? To compare, my max jump on the LF Envy 12 was 22 ft, almost a ...
